I liked it!
It's short, it's fairly simple and its perfect for the song and the for the movie.
Bless little Ed, he does look a tad uncomfortable with the camera though! It's still weird seeing him in a real music video, but if it gives the film and soundtrack more exposure then it's all good!
Good job folks!"This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -
thank goodness for youtube!
anyhoo - i love this song - the video was ok ... the stills from the movie aren't prominent enough to capture the song and the silhouette didn't work for me either ...0 -

I agree with you...love the song, video-not so much. The first thing I thought of was the Jeremy video (maybe this has been posted, haven't read through the last 4 pages). then, the end where Tiny Eddie is in the top corner of the frame was a little weird....but hey, I'm not making any videos anytime soon, so what do I know!!Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)

I find the edits fascinating.
Check out how that floating image of Eddie changes in the last second. That's really good (imo) considering what follows.

Like it. Fits the song perfectly. What I don't like about videos is that sometimes visual effects deprive music or lyrics' meaning..but here that is not the case at all. Nice. The worst enemies of music? Money and Mathematics. Combined with music, they both do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do. Money makes music cheap, mathematics makes it stupid and predictable.

Yeah, I saw the video this morning as well. Thanks so much to the "poster"
who told us that the video would be aired every hour on the hour this am on vh1. I saw it at 8am and had to wait through an annoying chick song but it IS worth the wait.
I noticed something that is worth mentioning.........
did anyone else think that the video purposely was putting the movie at the forefront and the song on the backburner? I thought that was a neat thing, a modest thing, a very cool Eddie thing. The songs are in no way on the backburner, I think it is a brilliant thing to have all of the people who see the Into The Wild movie (and I saw it twice and was impressed to see a very big variety of age groups), be exposed to Eddie's music when they might not be familar with it prior to the movie. Now I understand that in no way was it calculated by Eddie, because you and I both know he doesn't need nor desire the exposure----I think it was purely done because he wanted to and that was that--but further than that, as a fan (as in fanatical I am afraid
but not crazed--I hope), I looked at it as a cool thing that so many people will think of the movie, and the music as well and possibly get turned onto to Eddie because of the connection of the two.
I remember going into this store called "the MerryGoRound" when I was a freshman in high school with my parents. It was this hippy cool jean store that cranked rock music. My Dad heard Aerosmith's Same Old Song and Dance off of Aerosmith 1 and asked the guy there what it was and then he bought it for himself. That was so cool. And although a different band that is my point---people who will buy it because of them hearing it there.
great video.........cool images. I could have seen more of Eddie, but as I said I am a fan. I understand the possible reason for the way it was done. Does anyone agree with me or can you offer me a different thought that I did not think of?Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on The Creek......
Together we will float like angels.........
In the moment that you left the room, the album started skipping, goodbye to beauty shared with the ones that you love.........0 -
