Okay, so if ed243421 came to San Diego, took your house and land, kicked you out, and gave you some chump change and then had a baby on your land, you'd be cool with that too? I thought you didn't believe in the rights of anchor babies.0 -

And if the investigation proves that he wasn't under threat, etc than I agree with you 100%.
Heck...even if the investigation itself doesn't conclude the officer was at fault, based upon the facts I see I still may agree with you and not the investigation.
Is there any question that he wasn't under any real threat? I mean, there is no dispute about him not actually having a gun, right?0 -

well then you sir, are a fraud. it is now clear to me that you were not born in Corleone afterall.Godfather. wrote:and "WE" you and I have NOT stole anything !,I don't know about you but I was born here and diden't take anybodys land or any of that crap you keep whinning about so please save you crap for someone else I aint buying it !

even better question: would you shoot someone on your land, a land which was stolen by your ancestors who then murdered every innocent human who was living there prior to the genocide?
So do you think the frustration level of the officer due to this being his daily life and the frustration of the 15 year old kid due to an even from over 100 years ago is probably the same?
An event from over 100 years ago? I wasn't aware that the white people had left the continent and returned it to its rightful owners.
BUt I'm sure you are aware that is doesn't have anything to do with this event at all.hippiemom = goodness0 -

In 1846 at the outset of the Mexican-American War (1846–1848), American military forces invaded and seized California, after several small-scale battles.
U.S. Navy Commodore John Drake Sloat, on hearing of imminent war and the Bear Flag Revolt in Sonoma (which came under the control of U.S. Army captian John C. Frémont, ordered his naval forces to occupy Yerba Buena (present San Francisco) on July 7 and raise the American flag. On July 15, Sloat transferred his command to Commodore Robert F. Stockton, a much more aggressive leader. Commodore Stockton put Frémont's forces under his orders. On July 19th, Frémont's "California Battalion" swelled to about 160 additional men from newly arrived settlers near Sacramento, and he entered Monterey in a joint operation with some of Stockton's sailors and marines. The official word had been received -- the Mexican-American War was on. The American forces easily took over the north of California; within days they controlled San Francisco, Sonoma, and Sutter's Fort in Sacramento.
In the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 the U.S. paid Mexico $10 million for California and New Mexico. Also in 1848 gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill near Sacramento, touching off the California Gold Rush.

Yeah, I guess we didn't take the Native "Americans'" land by force either then. Do a little more history.
well then next time you go to a casino go the office there and tell them you would like to give your family's homes and property to them...I mean after all it was theirs to start with right ?...you need to look at the big picture and quit looking for things to protest, America won this land through military defete and or PAID money for it..maybe you like to give Alaska back to the Russians even thou America paid for that also.
I,m pretty sure every country won there borders with military action, your argument of taking Native "Americans'" land by force is very weak and old hat, they (native American's) killed each other to keep their "lines drawn in the dirt" right ? just like EVERYBODY else.

I beg to differ. This kid was killed specifically because we are STILL trying to keep his people away from the land our ancestors stole from them. We killed them to drive them off it then & we're still killing them to keep them off it now. This is not the historical trauma everyone wants to pretend doesn't exist when we talk about ethnic studies or poverty or whatever. This trauma is current and it is a DIRECT result of our continuation of the practices of our ancestors (unlike poverty, etc., which is an indirect result).0 -

I haven't said anyone is a murderer. I asked a question. I'll ask again: Is anyone still trying to say the kid had a gun or is it an agreed-upon fact that he didn't?0 -

Your bury-your-head-in-the-sand callounesses when it suits you never ceases to amaze me. You use the word "won" like they put up their land in a game of poker that they chose to play. Again, if you truly believe that stealing someone's land by force is a legal, moral thing to do then you shouldn't have any problem with people killing your family & taking your property. After all, anyone who is able to get it from you "won" it fair & square, right? Guess you don't believe in prosecuting car-jackers either. I swear, you can't actually believe half the stuff you say.Post edited by _ on0 -
scb have you given your house to the local Indians yet
I'll leave you with your opinion..I don't agree with you just as you don't agree with me and we will never convince each other that we're right so let's leave it at that before we both get the boot again......truce ?
p.s. it's not like you to leave a conversation with out getting the last word in so I will wait then raise the white flag of truce when you have finished......I know what your thinking....don't say it

America, love it or leave it huh? Buy American huh? What did those statements get any of us? Debt beyond our wildest dreams and American car factories closing. Can you be a little more original or better yet, can you find a solution instead of telling people to leave our so called great country. All that'll do is raise what you owe (currently around $44,000) for every American citizen. Let's be constructive not destructive...just a thought.0 -

Agreed we have to live in the present, I don't see the USA givi g back the land anytime soon or the citizens protesting to give it back either.
But in this case of the 15 years old kid killed the problem is the use of lethal force against an unarmed kid, ok the kid was throwing rocks but whatever the crime was, it doesn't deserve a bullet through the head, is like everytime you see your kids touching something you told them not to touch you smash theid hands with a hammer. The punishment doesn't fit the crime."The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it"
