    Okay... that looks bad.
Granted, the 15 year old was not just playing by the river... but, he didn't need to die.
As for rocks vs. gun... gun wins.
I still want to hear/see more of what the investigation provides... but, from this... it looks bad.

I hate defending unsung on any issue regarding immigration, but you can't say that the border crossed this kid... he's 15, the border has been there his whole life.

It is an imaginary line drawn by people in power, but we have those lines everyday that we live by... I know where my property ends and where my neighbor's starts, I can't just cross that line and do whatever I want there. I know down the road from me where New York ends and Vermont begins, and some different rules apply there.

Yes, that is the issue, and based on the video and everything I've read, nothing this kid did warranted him losing his life. I guess the philosophical issue of borders is a completely different discussion than a poor kid getting shot.

how can a kids life not be worth more than a border?

sweet child in time, you'll see the line
the line that's drawn between the good and the bad
see the blind man, he's shooting at the world
the bullets flying, ooh there taking toll
If you've been bad - ohhh lord I bet you have
and you've not been hit, you've not been hit by flying lead
    you'd better close your eyes
    you better bow your head
    wait for the ricochet

What do you guys want? Open boarders come and go as you please? Anarchy? The child dieing is a sad thing. The boarder agent needs to be held accountable, but maybe he did fear for his life we do not know.

Comments are welcome as I try to analyze this:

0:05 – SUV #1 on U.S side of fence races away from the camera and stops nears a pedestrian border bridge while several people are running in erratic fashion

0:23 – B/A #1 (long pants in black) is running towards the stopped SUV #1 near the fence and bridge

    0:30 – B/A #1 runs towards fence on U.S. side

0:40 – Four (4) assumed Mexican Nationals (M/N) running along the Rio Grande on U.S. side, one near the fence

0:45 – B/A #1 pops through a hole in the fence; One M/N runs toward Mexico; Two M/N’s stay near B/A #1 as he comes through the fence and appear to assault B/A #1 with their hands

0:50 – B/A #2 (Shorts and white shirt) enters in chasing down the U.S. side of the Rio Grande

0:55 – M/N’s notice B/A #2 and leave B/A #1 and run towards the Mexican side of the Rio Grande; B/A #1 appears woozy

    0:58 – 1:04 – Camera drops out

1:05 – B/A #2 has weapon drawn while helping B/A #1 who appears to be hurt and is on his knees but upright with arm dangling

1:15 – B/A #2 has weapon drawn and starts to drag B/A #1 while he falls to his hands and crawls alongside

1:19 – B/A #1 condition is worse and he falls to the ground

1:23 – One M/N is standing in the muddy river watching the B/A’s when he suddenly sprints towards the Mexican border

1:27 – B/A #1 is now lying on the ground

1:29 – B/A #2 crouches in front of B/A #1 who appears to be unconscious and readies his firearm in a shooter’s position towards the Mexican border

1:35 – Camera pans back and forth a few times and there appear to be two M/N’s on the Mexican side of the border, one near a bridge column

1:35 to 1:41 – Camera pans back and forth and it is unclear what is transpiring

1:42 – One M/N near the bridge column is now lying on the ground

1:42 to 1:50 – Unclear what is going on as camera pans back and forth

    1:51 – B/A #3 arrives on bicycle on the U.S. side to assist B/A #1 and B/A #2

1:52 to 2:02 – Camera pans slowly to M/N #1 who is lying (dead as we now know) on the Mexican side

2:03 – B/A #3 attends to B/A #1 as B/A #2 is in shooters stance with his firearm pointed at the Mexican side

2:03 to 2:23 – Camera is focused on B/A’s, not much transpires

2:24 – B/A #1 regains conscious and is helped to his feet by B/A #3 as B/A #2 provides cover

2:27 – Camera pans back to the M/N near column whose position is unchanged

    2:40 – More B/A’s arrive

That is as far as I’m going to take it for now.

If the person was obeying the law and not threatening a US Federal Agent he would still be alive. Right or wrong he should not have been there. His decision to be there cost him his life.

And yes I was laughing about the open border comment, not the death of someone.

i would give you that there might be a couple of people that might think that way ... but to say a lot of people here would praise a mexican kid for killing a BA is ludicrous ... you are clearly out of step with the values and beliefs of most people on this board if you think that ...

I don't think that's true at all.. a life is a life... Just because people don't agree with you doesn't mean they think the lives of Americans aren't as important as the lives of Mexicans - just as you - I assume - aren't so ignorant to believe the lives of Americans are more important than that of your southern neighbours.

Very twisted way of seeing things. A murder is a murder. Should the kid have shot an unarmed BA, it would have been the same.

Interesting . . . as noted, I didn't get to watch the whole thing as I had to sneak my view time in. This sheds some new light. It seemed kind of weird that they ran up to him.

Side note: Is it a strange cosmic requirement that any video footage that captures a crime must be grainy and black & white? And this seemed to be from someones personal equipment to boot.

I may have been a LITTLE out of line...maybe.
but why don't some of you go back in this forum and re-read some of the posts put up in the other race and border related issues (topics). BTW my statement was my opinion and reading on other threads from some the members on here brought me to that asumption, please don't ask me to give names or topics look for your self.
as I have stated before the loss of a life so young is very sad but don't sta pointing fingers unless you where there and know what really happened.
