A young heron sits dying amidst oil in Barataria Bay, just inside the
    the coast of Louisiana.

anyone know where to look for the records on marine species picked up dead or alive?
like a list of sea turtles picked up dead... number & growing.
where most of the turtles are being found?
number of dolphins in critical condition?
    number of dead dolphins.
they do keep record of this, yes/no?

these two guys put crude oil in water and use certain "grasses" that absorb the oil....they say that the ones with boats and nets could help clean up the soaked "grasses", you should watch it, I am curious your thoughts.

I have seen that. It looks like it would work on the surface oil. The problem that I see is that BP is using dispersants (poisonous toxins) to break the oil up into little pieces and to keep it from coming to the surface and I do not think that the hay would be able to get to it. It looks like it works great to get the surface oil though. I also wonder if sea life would be more likely to ingest the hay. ..but, it probably wouldn't be any more harmful for them than just being there in the tar pits.

    Dead dolphin covered in oil
beings the japanese still fish for whales and dolphins
i vote we send the gulf's dead whales and dolphins to japan.
they say they kill 1,000 whales a year for scientific research.
i see no greater service these creatures could do for japan than to have their rotten oily asses shipped there.

So where are all the "Save the Ocean" concerts? Where are the T.V. Benefits with celebrities and musicians giving heart felt speeches on the poor fisherman, wildlife, beaches, loss of income and sabotaged gulf economy? These people (including our own government) are so quick to help Haiti and Chile and ...other countries...but where are they now?

This isn't the first time I've read a statement like this (though maybe the others were from you too) and I dont' understand it. Benefits are to raise money. BP already has money - and they are responsible for dishing it out to those who are affected. So celebrity benefit concerts and the like are not necessary.

How about a concert just to raise awareness about the dangers and deception of off-shore drilling in particular? That would help too. These guys could start it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFSM_lkk22Q

Yeah. I do not think that anyone should necessarily be responsible for raising money for the disaster..because it is BP's fault and they have the money. But, raising awareness should be a top priority. People are really blind to this. This is big and people need to know about it...the truth about it.
