After a number of people asked if I'm going to offer another round of the PJ Poster Framing Special, I'm now offering a second-round of the PJ Poster Framing Special. :D

The more people who participate, the more the price drops for everyone!

    FRAME OPTIONS:
You get your choice of seven frames (with color-stripe of your choice) and matting of your choice and UV glass.

Our matting and backing materials by Bainbridge Artcare is not only acid-free, they are museum quality with Zeolite protection technology which actively protects artwork from pollutants. See link at the top of this post for full info.

    PRICING INFO:

Regular price for this framing: $265
(and this is a real, un-inflated price for framing with this frame in this size)

    Special Quantity Discounts:

QUANTITY GROUP DISCOUNT PRICE PER PICTURE

31-40 Posters $106 off per piece $159 ea

    SHIPPING & PACKAGING INFO
    :
I usually ship via The UPS Store, located a couple of doors away. I had them quote shipping of 2 pictures, based on the "maximum" poster size of 19x25, which would make the outside of the frames no bigger than 27x33. Below is the breakdown for packaging, and actual shipping estimates from them recently.

**Idea: Share shipping with someone nearby to you, so the shipping is less per person AND you can take advantage of the free packaging offer below.

    BOXING/PACKING/PEANUTS: $25
...or FREE if you are ordering 2+ frames

To help make this as inexpensive as possible, if you are ordering 2 - 3 frames I will eat the $25 packing fees from UPS Store. I hope some of you take advantage of this!!

    SHIPPING GROUND ESTIMATES:

    -with $100 worth of insurance-
(extra insurance available for about $2 per $100 covered)

    • 19064 PA $37 shipping
    • 08203 NJ $37 shipping
    • 60601 IL $45 shipping
    • 59101 MO $60 shipping

Of course, some people are interested but only at certain prices, so feel free to discuss on here "I'm interested but only at the 6-10 price or less" and whatnot. Until I see the word "confirmed" in your posts, you will have a "tentative" reservation for framing. :)

    LIST OF MEMBERS FOR FRAMING:

2 FRAMES (maybe more) CH81124 (TENTATIVE pending sizes of posters)

Be sure to read all the info here, which shows the frame, matting and glass options:

How important is it to frame your posters?

    Dear Maggie,
I only have 4 posters tucked in thier tubes on top of my wardrobe.
But now I want to put them up in a dusty, spidery, kid infested home.
Can the posters survive until I get them framed in about 2 years?

    Your sincerely
    Jo

I dont understand who Maggie is...

But at the very least you need to get your posters flat, and not in tubes.

    Hi Jo,

The longer the posters are in tubes, the harder it is to get the curl out of the paper. The thicker the paper (particularly the nice heavy rag paper used on many posters) makes it even more difficult. Plus brown tubes are acidic, so they slowly turn the paper brown and brittle. So, go out and purchase some Acid Free foamboard (feels a little fuzzy on the surface, not the slightly glossy surface kind) and carefully sandwich the posters between there to help flatten them out. If the posters are about the same size, you can stack them on top of each other, but if they are significantly different in size, you'll want a separate pair of AF foamboard so you don't leave indentations on the posters from overlapping different sizes. Once between the two sheets of foamboard (with some paper between the posters) you can tape the edges up with regular packaging tape to help keep bugs out. Your posters will thank you. Once flattened, you can invest in a nice portfolio, or just put the money towards framing them when you're ready. :)

I am in for two of these. One will be St Louis 2010 which I don't have yet. Can I take advantage of the offer, ship you one poster now and another later (most likely when 10c sells them)?

    We can arrange that. :D

Do you know which color frame you will want for St. Louis 2010? As long as we can hammer out the frame color in particular by July 1st (matting colors we can wait on) then we'll be good. :)

Also, do you know the size of the St Louis 2010 poster? The framing special is good for posters up to size 19"x 25". Larger sizes are still possible, but I'd have to custom quote sizes larger than 19"x 25".

...and just let me know if I should add you as "tentative" or "confirmed" in the OP.

The current eBay auction shows the STL poster at 18"x24". I can definitely hammer out both frame colors in the next couple weeks, and you can mark me as definite. I'm also cool waiting for both to ship at the same time to save on costs in both directions.

Every picture and every post indicates that you do great work.

If we can get down to the $185 price point (or lower :D ) then I will be in for 1.

    Hi Jimmy!

    Yup - the members don't lie. :D

I'll mark you down as tentative for 1, pending we hit the $185 price category.

...and remember, if you frame 2, I'll eat the $25 packaging fee from UPS. :)

(so talk one of your neighbors into framing a poster too, and you will both save :D )

Is anyone from the Chicagoland area interested in getting a print framed? If we each get one done, we can split shipping costs and save some cash.

Ditto that. I work in Hollywood and live in S. Redondo so if anyone is interested in getting in on one with me let me know. Would love to have hoff eat my packaging fee again and would love for YOU to pay half the shipping cost.

    Woot.
