Do you know which color frame you will want for St. Louis 2010? As long as we can hammer out the frame color in particular by July 1st (matting colors we can wait on) then we'll be good.

Also, do you know the size of the St Louis 2010 poster? The framing special is good for posters up to size 19"x 25". Larger sizes are still possible, but I'd have to custom quote sizes larger than 19"x 25".


...and just let me know if I should add you as "tentative" or "confirmed" in the OP.

The current eBay auction shows the STL poster at 18"x24". I can definitely hammer out both frame colors in the next couple weeks, and you can mark me as definite. I'm also cool waiting for both to ship at the same time to save on costs in both directions.

I had CJ frame my Eddie Vedder rocket poster and my Toronto '09 poster. I have to say that CJ has done a superb job with the framing, taking time to make sure everything was to my liking .The materials used are top quality. The packaging was well done with the framed prints kraft wrapped, sandwiched in cardboard and then bubble wrapped in a box with styro peanuts. Great care was shown, an excellent job!

CJMST3K, i cant afford your offer but I have a question. I read that you should not let the picture touch the glass or the humidity will get it. does using a mat help this?

Hi lastchild11,

You are correct that artwork in general shouldn't touch glass. Just like when on a hot day a glass of a cold liquid will make the outside of the glass get water droplets, a similar thing can happen with picture framing glass, except it can happen on the inside. Now there usually won't be big drops you can see, but there is certainly potential for a microscopic film of moisture to form on the glass inside the frame. If your poster is touching glass... and if the minimal amount of moisture forms on the inside layer of the glass, then the poster's ink may bond with the glass, basically gluing the poster's ink to the glass.

The more porous the paper the less likely it is to happen, but I've seen it happen to all sorts of artwork. Highest at risk are glossy photos, but it's not unheard of for posters to also become stuck to glass. Matting keeps the artwork from touching the glass (as well as other benefits).

we'll see. I also have MSG 2 AP coming in the mail, so it depends on how quick Mr. Burwell ships. That Cle poster has grown on me so much since I checked out the rest of his work...

I'd love to see them all! With so many people, we may possibly hit that lowest group price!

...and on the sizes, I'm about to add two addition price categories for posters larger than 19x25, so keep an eye open for that too.
