So i was pissed off because here in Toronto. TSN was showing the games but it wasn't on yesterday. so went to a bar and had a great drinking night with about 6 flyers fan who I didn't know. keep it going Flyers. If they play like this, the flyers can beat anyone.

i read someplace that Carter and Gags will miss game 5.

Gags got smacked in the ankle and didn't return, so that wouldn't suprise me. But Carter was playing at the end. :?:

marty was a joke last night

i think his time has passed

looking ahead ... if i was kovalchuk i would think long and hard about the devils considering they aren't gonna have a goalie in 2 years
While he's playing like shit, you know he's a Vezina finalist, right?

VOORHEES, N.J. (AP)—Flyers forwards Jeff Carter(notes) and Simon Gagne(notes) have been ruled out for Thursday night’s playoff game against the the New Jersey Devils.

Philadelphia general manager Paul Holmgren said in a statement Wednesday that both players hurt their right foot during Tuesday night’s game. They are listed as day-to-day.

Carter led the team in goals with 33 during the regular season, and has two goals and an assist in the playoffs. He missed eight games toward the end of the regular season with a fractured left foot.

Gagne has two assists in four playoff games, helping the Flyers take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference series.

Thank You Flyers, for not only knocking out Los Diablos ( almost there )
but ensuring us a 3rd PJ show in the immediate area at The Prudential Rock .
Boston was so convinced they were getting it, ( no thanks to the Sabres )

this team isn't good enough anyway. I just hope that they don't use injuries as excuses as to why they don't need to get better this offseason

the HAVE to shore up the goal tending situation. beyond that, the team is in pretty good shape.

besides richards, their forwards are average at best. I said it a few weeks ago here...you could make an argument that dan carcillo was their best forward this regular season. that um, isn't good enough

the defense has played well in this series but the devils forwards aren't very good either.

they need 2 goalies and the need to shake up the forwards. I'd love to see any or all of the carter, briere, hartnell line moved, but 2 of those 3 have no trades (all but carter)

Man this team always gets these fluky injuries !

Wasn't it just a year or 2 ago we lost Kimmo and Coburn in one round for the whole playoffs??

Kimmo with a fuckin blood clot  Coburn a tipped slapshot to the schnoz

We need guys to step up (JVR,BRIERE,HARTNELL)

Plus they make a shitload of money

I doubt Homer sits on his hands in the off season he knows this team needs to be tweaked but its gonna take a juggling act to improve them

they scored the 8th most goals in the league this season, so IMO, the major issue with the forwards is constiancey. they would score 4 or 5 in a bunch of games, then 1 or 2 in a bunch.

the blue line is fine in my book. kimmo and pronger are both getting long in the tooth, but they'll be fine for a couple of more seasons

they were 15th in goals agaist. this is the weak link

now with all that said, if you could move hartnell or carcillo than by all means do it. i don't think you trade one of the top goal scores (Carter) on the team.
