If possible (I know this is a big if so don't feel obligated) but if a place where under 18 people can go would be appreciated... Bringing the boys and would love to get dinner at the pre-party and still have a chance of meeting you all... Most good restauarants have a bar too in the area...

mr. dream and i will be in attendance BOTH nights, and i will do my damdest NOT to fall and sprain my ankle after pre-party this year. ;):mrgreen:

Sweet! That happened twice already, right?? Albany & DC? We need to keep you upright this year ;)

has happened twice, but not in albany or DC. never seen a show in albany actually.
first time, torino, italy 2006....fell down a flight of steps at the venue right before the gig too. so had to stand on one leg for the whole concert, and hobble thru the pistoia gig and the rest of my travels in italy. great shows, but yea...more poor knee/leg. ouch! 2nd time, leaving the bar from the pre-party before MSG II 2008, uneven sidewalk, big wipeout. that time, was my ankle most damaged. managed to get thru the show and then go the ER. fun times. :? hahaha. on crutches for 2 weeks, but did still manage hartford and mansfield I. :D

so you bet......staying upright is a priority this tour!
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
    ride"!

If I make it to NY - I am there, and I'm totally up for volunteering!

Hey Laura, I don't think that bar we went to after the shows is still there. But yeah, it would have been perfect. I remember it was on 33rd street just down from Blarney Rock. Blarney Rock isn't big enough, and doesn't have food. But it looks like there is a huge bar next door called "Stout NYC" that might work. (it might have taken over the space you were thinking of, it looks slightly familiar to me) It looks huge and it's only maybe two blocks from MSG. Might be worth checking out!

I volunteer for either day. Unsure what volunteering entails, but I'll do what I can!

Are you still accepting suggestions for a beneficiary? If so, I have a great one :)http://www.ibdride.com - local to the city, and it benefits CCFA, which I know is hot on Mike's list. Just a suggestion, don't mean to come off high and mighty or anything <3

the place where alot of us were, (including you and foxy) was fat annies truck stop.
good times were had there after the folk at blarney rock decided that they did not want a huge group of us decided to go in. Their loss as we were there both nights for quite a while, spending lots of money

Stout Bar is a good suggestion. Heartland Brewery is nearby, their beer is good and it's a pretty big place. If we're looking for a dive, I just found this on Google:

    im in for msg2.

So It looks like Stout is getting the best reviews. ive been there a bunch of times and agree it is a fun spot. I was there one time before a PJ show and they were showing a previous PJ show on all the TV's! Its a big place too and real close to MSG.

i'm only a couple subway stops away so if you need any help let me know.

    thanks,

    I'm in for both
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • Stout is a fantastic place for a pre-/after- party. They have a basement area and a 2nd floor area that can easily be sectioned off for a private party, each with separate bars. I have seen many concerts at MSG, and Stout will always play a DVD of the act that plays at MSG that night..it is totally awesome and really gets you psyched for the concert!
Only downside- there is almost no cell phone service inside- at least with AT&T and Verizon, so it's kind of hard to communicate if you're trying to meet up with peeps.
