I know alot of people were down on people sitting down this week and I think I defended them earlier in the week. i mentioned age and injuries and other illnesses but tonight I can't defend those people that were sitting down anymore. Deep, Breath, Sonic Reducer, there was an electicity in the air. It was also awesome to hear Gonna See My Friend. I'm an old school type guy and all but I love hearing the new stuff which is why I really liked the first two nights. And it was good that they played more new stuff the first two nights because I don't think many people dig it and I know the Friday crowd had more old school.
I usually never say I wanna hear the new stuff from a band that's been around for almost twenty years. Eddie said it many years ago about Neil Young, that he was one of the only old guys still making good music. I think Backspacer is a beautiful record and so was Avacado. I was too young to go to Springsteen's shows before Born In the USA, but went to the 1999 classics tour, and then last week when he did Born To Run and Born in The USA and refuse to see any Working on A Dream or Magic bullshit.
Like I said before I have a bad back and had the flu earlier this week but once the lights go down and the boys hit the stage I am magically cured and feel 110% better and jump and dance and sing to every song until the band says they're done. Ahh, the healing power of Pearl Jam. I love this fucking band!

I'm stoked for all you guys that are getting to experience these insane concerts and I'm hangin to see them in OZ on the 17th of Nov.I may not be there experiencing it with all you fellow PJ fans but reading the setlists and all your comments make me feel like the Pearl Jam energy is as strong as ever. I feel like we are the luckiest group of individuals being fans of a band that gives us so much more than we could ever give in return.

     FUCK! :|:|

They had Brother on the setlist!? I wish I hadn't seen that. That was the one song that would have made tonight, undoubtedly the greatest thing since sliced bread. As it was, it was undoubtedly the greatest Pearl Jam show I have ever seen, but Brother would have probably put it up and over anything else I have EVER seen.
    32 shows and counting...
  • THANK YOU EDDIE ABOUT WHAT YOU DID WITH JONI.....SHE DESERVE IT

Tonight was hands down my best show ever! The energy was like nothing I have ever experancied. It's 3 in the morning and I'm in the cab with my very good friend Joni. I'm am so very happy for her. She had a bad car crash in maui while out there to see Ed. She was in the hospital for 4 days.

Tonight Ed called her up and she got to see the show from the side of the stage. This ment everything to her! So for me that just made tonight extra special.

Thanks again 10 club for 6th row center. I can't even wit for tomorrow night! I do believe we are making some history this week!

You and me too! I'm hanging, just hanging to see my all time favourite band 4 times in 2 weeks from now (can't believe it's only 2 weeks away now!). This setlist was insane, with some of my favourites being played - how can you top Tremor Christ, Deep, In Hiding, RVM, In my Tree and Present Tense for starters, not to mention all the others. I'm green with envy that I wasnt there, but great that the guys are in such good form. Hope they keep it up for the Aussie tour. I will NEVER sit down to PJ, I simply cant! It amazes me that people do. I mean how can you sit down to that? I've been listening to Backspacer a lot over the past few days, Lost Dogs as well. Roll on November!

I thought it was funny when Ed tried to call Ben Harper to wish him a happy 40th birthday.

He even had us practice saying "Happy Birthday Ben" on the count of three, then spent a solik 3 minutes or so trying to get signal or something and ended up saying he thought he broke his phone and tossed it to a roadie.

    : )

    what a show.

Present Tense was awesome. A true highlight.

    Awesome seats again.

Awesome crowd. Congrats to Joni. Saw you walking down and over and you had the look of intense wondrous joy. It was nice to see and great of Mr Vedder to reach out and touch people like that.

had great rear side seats behind boom. Just want to say that it was refreshing to see some of the front row rocking out instead of the usual zombie dance that i've seen.... the girl and guy directly in front of ed sang every word and rocked out all night.... great stuff

This was # 22 for me, and I know you always think the last show you were at was the best, but OMG, this show I was completely and utterly blown away. I mean, HOLD ON, I think I pissed myself !! In My Tree, Tremor, In Hiding, Deep, Habit, an incredibly moving Off He Goes, sick Present Tense and DTE, and all the Backspacer tunes were unreal. And that was just the main set !! Parting Ways, Breath, Light Years, intense RVM, jamming Crazy Mary, FOOTSTEPS, Sonic......I am just blown away this morning.

Had to drive back to NY last night, sick to my stomach I am going to miss tonights closer, I cant imagine what they have in store. Hope the boys saved some energy for tonight. I'm thinking about somehow convincing my wife to let me head down there tonight. Might be grounds for divorce, but I'm contemplating :D

    TY PJ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best setlist I've seen in this tour so far. Lucky ones!
    I’ll never suck satan’s dick... = P
  • I have to say. The 2nd encore was flawless. "Makes much more sense to live in the present tense." !!
