That's not true I watched several parents on the news that were pissed off because they weren't told.
  • Not very closely, I'm not much of a lyrics guy. It seemed the same canned cliches I'd expect. Are the lyircs posted anywhere to read? I can't listen to them at work.

I tell you what I will post them as soon as I can and then you might understand where Im coming from. or when you get a chance just go on you tube cos like I said this is not the only video out there.

    I've seen it.

And it's more manufactured phony outrage.

I kinda feel bad for you that you so desperately want to yell about something.

It's why the "Tea Parties" are such a jumbled mess... you're all angry that you lost the election and you want to scream.. you just don't know what to scream about. It's why some people are carrying racist signs, some are going on about "socialism" or "communism" without knowing what either really mean, some carrying signs about taxes, some carrying signs about Hitler and some about Stalin, some with thinly-veiled death threats to the president... Some just random angry signs that just lash out (like the now-famous "Get a Brain Morans!" sign that's funny on about 4 levels).

Nobody cares other than people who are desperately looking for something to care about. And this is just yet another thing in the long line of stupid petty crap for conservatives to get upset about.

Um.. the parents were pissed off that Fox News ran the video, not that the kids sang the song.

If they cared about the song, don't you think we would have heard about it before now? I mean this happened 7 months ago.

My question was if these kids were singing to George bush (in a public school ) would they still feel the same about it. And not only that this is not just one isolated case. another on just popped up in Ashville N.C. Just go on you tube and you will see what Im talking about.

Look I have no problem with a teacher Teaching children about Obama and what he has acomplished. You got that gimmiesometruth ? But when you start singing songs and politicizing in a public school it's wrong.and to be fair I don't think that Obama had anything to do with this. and from what I heard the parents didn' know about it. I could be wrong though.
why don't you address my post instead of taking a shot at me in a reply to something else? has a cat got your tongue? i would not have cared if they sang a song about w bush. like i said in my post that you apparently did not read, that they are KIDS and they can not be bothered with boring politics. at least they are learning something. face it, you have a problem with obama even being mentioned in a public school and you know it, let alone having a song sung about him. your posts make me think that you are so blinded by your hatred. why do you hate america so much?

If they were pissed at fox than why were they on fox saying that they were pissed off at the teacher for not asking them for their permission. Look I don't expect someone like you or most of the people on here to see anything wrong with this I was just giving my opinion.

I would have to see he video you're talking about. but the principal of the school said that the whole program had been sent to parents and that there hadn't been any negative reaction to it before or for months after.

Look, this is one you're not going to "win." This is just more phony indignation like when Barrack Obama said "Lipstick on a pig" and everyone went ape shit that he was attacking Sarah Palin. Or when they said that he was "palling around with terrorists" because he once sat on a board with some guy who was a 60s radical 20 years before. Or when Fox News asked if the Ghetto Fist Bump was a "terrorist salute." Or that wanting to equal the tax burden between he very rich and the very poor was "socialism."

How about when allowing people to consult a doctor about writing a Living Will was a "death panel?"

    Aren't you tired yet?

And there it is. You don't even fucking KNOW me but you know all about me. "Someone like you..."

Deciding that since I'm not just swallowing whatever bullshit story you have this week that I fit into some Fox News® approved box.

That's ok. But what we don't understand is why you disagree with a harmless song being sung by a bunch of kids about him during a black history month event. That has nothing to do with his policies. I get that you really hate the guy, but this story is totally unrelated to that... you just turn purple anytime he's mentioned. And you keep coming back with your Dubya comparison, despite the fact that all of us say we wouldn't give 2 shits if some school kids sang a song about Dubya as part of some school event. It's not indoctrination. And you have yet to produce anything to remotely support the contention that that's what this is.

Here are the lyrics to that song:
"He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
    Equal work means equal pay
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight"
    ...
I'm interested... which of the lyrics do you oppose?
Is it the "He said that all must lend a hand To make this country strong again"?
or the "He said we must be fair today Equal work means equal pay"?
maybe "He said that we must take a stand To make sure everyone gets a chance"?
I'm guessing it's "He said red, yellow, black or white, All are equal in his sight".

  • OK maybe it's because I'm Canadian and I'm slow... but where is the endorsement of his policies and indoctrination in that?

It's just some silly poem about the president. It would easily have been "George Walker Bush." What's the big deal?

That's my opinion... a really lame song... like every other lame song that I had to sing when I was a fourth grader. I can see if there was a verse about a Public Option for Health Care... or justification for escalating the War In Afghanistan... then, yeah, a big issue. but, since it's not there... no big fucking deal.

I never said I oppose this song. I said I oppose the movie "STUFF" that is being shown in classrooms because it's full of lies. I put these videos on to try to help with an arguement between prfctleft and someone else. Personally, I don't really see the big deal, I think the couple of parents that are upset about it are radical rights. If I did oppose this song earlier i got confused between this song and the movie. Now go ahead....I know a remark about being confused is coming.
