Would someone please explain to me where a women gets paid less because of her gender. I can not think of one example. And does equal work for equal pay stand for illegals?

OK, you have to be some kind of bot. No human is actually as dumb as you appear to be.

Yes... Women get paid less than men. Often doing the same jobs.

Two doctors in a hospital with equal experience and credentials... the woman almost always is paid less than the man. Or jobs that are traditionally done by women (Secretary, Nurse) will have a lower pay scale than jobs that require equal amounts of work but are done by men (Executive assistants, Lab Technician).

No, this has nothing to do with Socialism, Illegals or he voices in your head.

Why are you always such an ass? It was a simple question. Maybe where you live women are paid less but where I live we've never heard of such a thing. A woman doctor makes just as much as a male doctor. Where I work the women are paid as much as men if not more. Back in the 60's and 70's maybe...but today, I just don't see it.

I bet the women don't get paid less where you work!

It's a question that comes from a complete lack of any understanding of the issue at all. And it's frustrating to have to deal with big issues facing he country when you have to bring people up to speed on the basics. Just yesterday we had to explain how Socialism and communism aren't the same thing to someone who said "Socialism is halfway beween Democrat and Communist."

Which is quite possibly the most dumb-ass thing I've ever read in my life. It's like saying "Pink is halfway between green and purple."

When confronted with the truth, her answer was "well, I've never had a need to know it" which was odd considering she felt she had a reason to TALK about it.

I'm so sick of trying to argue with people who just vomit up "facts" that they just make up.

Dude, your a swamp donkey dick wad. Were you beat up in school or something? Probably a little 150lb.er with big ol balls when you're on the other side of the internet. And what the hell does your last quote have anything to do with me? I simply do not see women getting paid less because they are a woman. You're freakin dillusional as far as i'm concerned. It was a very simple question. If you can't answer with respect then don't answer it. Personally i'm quite tired of your arrogance.

Ah, so you've seen my movies then? (if you really think that... Google "Jasun." If you're over 18. You've been warned.)

I'm assuming you mean "delusional." Unless you just called me a pickle. Which would still be nicer than a Donkey Dick Wad, I guess. Choosing to ignore problems is a very common thing with conservatives, so I've seen. Like telling gay people they're not discriminated against because "You can choose to marry someone of the opposite sex, too."

You're a BRUINS fan, they got beat up tonight by the BIG Ovechkin. Love the B's from back in the 70's when I saw Bobby Orr/Cheevers/Cashman/Espisito/Sanderson and the rest play. I used to play hockey as a goalie praticing I could stop those guys. :D

here ya go, a simple google of "gender pay gap" gives hundreds of links with stats and figures. in 2004 women made $.75 for every dollar a man of equal experience and qualifications made. in the link i am going to post it says the gap in US Gov't jobs has gone down from .19 to .11 cents on the dollar, so women are STILL making less money than men. equal work is inequal to equal pay....

there is so much evidence out there to back up this position i do not see how anybody can dispute it. i think mb262200 is arguing to hear his own voice. if you live in the US, you live in a country where women and men do not make equal income for the same job. period.

Wow! I gotta admit , that really suprises me. Is that just in government federal jobs though? Because I really don't see it being an issue anywhere else. Especially where i'm from. I know doctors , lawyers, radioligists, cna's, dental assistants.......they all get paid just as much as anyone else in the same field.

    No. It's not.

There are very few industries where there is actual payment equity. It's a problem seen right across the country and saying you don't see it means you probably haven't been looking.

no its not just federal jobs. if you google "gender pay gap" there are hundreds of sites that have actual figures and numbers. the first 10 or so were from 2004 and 05 so i did not think they were as relevent. the link i posted was the most current. there were a few others on there from 2008/09 but i did not feel like going through all of them. the federal numbers are actually more close to equal than the private sector numbers. its pretty much across the board that women make .78- .80 cents on the dollar that men make.

where i come from in the midwest, salaries and how much people make is not ever discussed. people are very private about their income here. i do not even know what my best friends and family members make. i have a ballpark idea but it is just not discussed. it sounds like where you come from people are much more open about it, which i think is pretty cool.

Here on the east coast Washington DC it's a big deal down to the intricacies of that said job and what it pays. The Washington Post several times a years prints out what salaries are in this area. It must be a status thing which goes along with who you know and what high end contacts you may have. It's all really superficial to me really.

this same school actually did do a song about thanking the Lord for Bush. Your opinion?

My opinion is that you're probably making that up.

First of all, if that was true, we'd have heard about it by now. Second, religion in a public school is inappropriate and saying that "the Lord" gave us the president would never pass the sniff test of parents.

But if they wanted to sing a song about him being president and making America better, hey.. sure.. go ahead. Kids at that age are to young to understand policy and should just learn in kid's terms what a president does.

It's not my place to say who it was.
I was mistaken, however..it was a different school.

I've said before I have no reason to lie. I see someone else has posted links to the song in question to prove my case...

Honestly, the way people throw insults around in here, it's very disappointing. I'd expect this kind of immaturity from fans of someone like Pitt Bull...not Pearl Jam.

You said you thought I was making it up about the Bush song. You were specific. The links posted a little further up this page, by I heart Scout Niblett , prove I wasn't making it up.
We all knew that and never cared.
Then why specifically say you thought I was making that up? You are not very good at arguing...

And I never told you to just believe me on anything..There's this thing called google, and a place called a library. Go make use of them.
  • You said you thought I was making it up about the Bush song.

you WERE making it up about the Bush Song. We knew about the Katrina Kids ages ago and didn't burst into tears that someone was trying to "Indoctrinate" the kids but it wasn't at the same school. That's the part you were making up. The song also doesn't say "thank the Lord for George Bush" like you said it did. You made THAT up too.

Having a pearl of truth in a big bag of BS doesn't make it all true, sweets.
  • There's this thing called google, and a place called a library. Go make use of them.

Ok, and THIS from the person who says that "Socialism is halfway between Democrat and Communist" and told us that the same school had a bunch of kids singing "Thank the Lord for George Bush."
