    One of my favorite things about the message pit is watching the elitists bash anyone who doesn't think that every single Pearl Jam song is amazing. That isn't everyone in this thread but a few of you always show up when someone has an opinion other than "OMG! EVERY SONG THEY HAVE EVER DONE IS AMAZING! YOU ARE AN IGNORANT ASSHOLE!"

    And I agree...Gone is a very sub-standard song. He wrote it in one night in a hotel room and it shows.

    I loved this song before it was even supposed to be on the album. The band had to talk Eddie into putting on the album it was so good.

    How is sharing an opinion and asking what others think bitching????? Is there a prerequisite when you sign up on this board that says you have to love the bands entire catalog? This is the kind of shit that makes me ashamed to be a fan sometimes and also why some people outside of this board think the fan base are insane.

    IDIOT! the intro is weak and quiet, granted it could be louder and stronger, but the song is solid. especially the lyrics. but everone has opinions and theirs should be respected. . . . so rock on brother! albeit wrong

    A. He didn't ask for our opinion. He merely made a comment about the song.

    B. I never said he had to like the song, but when somebody says they "hate" something, wouldn't you consider that bitching about something???

    When I don't like a song, I don't listen to it, I don't talk about it. It's just music. Nothing to get angry about unless your neighbors are blasting it.

    He doesnt have a clue because he thinks that him not liking the song makes it a terrible song. I agree that it is so annoying when people on here say if you dont like a song you shouldnt talk about it (don't say anything bad about anything pearljam) why not?
