    There is a new album around the corner. The boots have tracks from the new album. To not have DJs all over the world play the songs premature (and potentially "harm" their release plan), they wait making the boots available until the CD is out.

    Then why play 'Got Some' on Conan O'Brien's show??? This performance can quite easily be played by DJ's all over the world. Then there is also performances of 'Got Some', 'The Fixer' and 'Just Breathe' on the Backspacer documentary that is all over the web and then there is also the snippets of each track from the album on Amazon apparently.

    I'm thinking they're only going to release the boots for shows supporting the album's release i.e. the shows they play after the album becomes available.

    I sincerely hope not though, after Europe got no love in '07. :(

    I so want the UK shows to be released as bootlegs, but that response from them about O2 doesn't seem great. Mind you, maybe the band/powers that be, want to listen to the recordings over the next few weeks and decide which ones to release from this part of the tour....or maybe I am hoping!!

    If they wern't going to release the European shows, then why announce the bootleg program right before the European tour??

    They usually announce the bootleg programs a few days before the tour in question, so i'm sure this will be no different. If they were only going to release the shows that took place after the album came out, they would have waited until then to anounce the bootleg program, and not annouce it right before the European shows.

    I really believe that us Europeans will just have to be patient and wait until after the album is released as they contain new songs... but I don't think there is any reason to panic about not getting them. I'm fairly confident we will get the European shows,possibly minus the SBE show, since they don;t usually release those small club shows.

    Hang in there guys... I reckon we'll get European bootlegs. :)

    I Don't get why these bootlegs take so long to be posted.... (weeks after the show????) Seriously, that's ridiculous and unacceptable. What Happened to hours after the show ended? You guys did it in 05. I think you lose overall potential buyers too. Why not do it through livedownloads. i know phish has their shows posted right after to download, it is great. (just an example) It just annoys me, cuz i want the show after i was there. not 2 weeks later. turn it up a notch over there please!

    This phish bootlegs are also just soundboard recordings and not actually mixed.

    I remember the Canadian tour boots were out quick. I also remember a good handful of issues with a lot of the releases.

    If - these are coming out, I have no problem waiting if it means the quality is up to the standard of the band.

    Sound-wise, the 2008 bootlegs were the worst releases the band has ever let out. They're horrendously bad.

    I'd happily wait a year for bootlegs if they can ensure they're mixed and mastered to a decent standard, otherwise it's just a waste of people's money.

    Agreed. I can't believe some people thought they were great.. they don't do justice to the band! I personally enjoy cranking the 2006 boots the best.

    My preference is the 2000 boots, especially the Euro shows - though they're bass-shy, they're so dynamic and natural sounding that they're an absolute joy to play. Great performances and setlists too.
