  • That seams a long wait from 6:30 - 2 hours for a small venue until someone comes on with no support band planned......

I say Ed's gonna do a short solo set, 2 hours to fill up SBE is way more than is needed.

Thats Exactly what I was hoping and thinking was going to happen... I so hope it does... so Ed on around 7:15 for a 35/40 min set and then ... off we go..!
  • I'm expecting no Ed solo set to be honest...that way it will be a nice surprise in the unlikely event that it does happen.

Otherwise, you can get lost in the hype...remember all the rumoured support bands for the Dublin show in 2006? U2 even got mentioned at one point!

And then.....Paddy Casey walked out. Disappointment all round!

Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to see Ed play a couple of songs before the main set, but I don't honestly think it will happen.

8.30 till 11, a good 2 and a half hours of yeyness. It'll be a nice surprise if something does happen between half 6 and half 8! :D

Paddy was on Sony/ATV and PJ were still with Sony at that point weren't they? Prolly why Paddy came out :) Wasn't he any good? He's usually very good live.

Finally got a reply from HMV regarding my mail asking them why the 'unique link' wasn't unique ...
    Dear Simon

Thank you for your response. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding.

In answer to your question, the Pearl Jam tickets were not available for general sale on hmv.com. Only customers who received an individual link, and I can guarantee that each link was individual, were able to purchase tickets during the pre-sale. We have received all information from the ticketing agency in relation to the sale, and have verified that only customers who pre-ordered the CD have purchased tickets.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew Cherrett
    ECommerce Customer Service Manager

Make of that what you will.

It's been sad to come back to this thread to post this and see all the excitement building up. Feel like crying. Yep, you're right - still no ticket. Not even just one little ticket.

  • That dude must have great fun coming up with random replies for all of us. One day it's 'no second or third links were sent out', the next day it is 'oh yeah, we sent out links', then it's 'no they weren't on general sale' - but people on here SAW them on general sale. They are just covering their bums!!
  • I would be nice if ED does but I am not getting my hopes up.. not gettign them up for a longer PJ set... ! I am just happy to be going and whatever we get is a bonus anyway!

I'll be timing it with my watch. If it's one second under 2 1/2 hours, I'll be writing a strongly worded email to TC, and I don't care if they don't read it!

I've got my fingers crossed that I'll hear Release live for the first time.

Just more time for them to sell you drinks! Though tickets say "under 21s need ID to purchase alcohol" so, if you look young, make sure you have ID with you!
  • I got ID'd in Tesco last week - buying DANDELION AND BURDOCK, I kid you not!! And even worse, I am 32!

How will they know if your a 10c member when go in early in the 10c queue? Will the tickets look different? Or do you get a wristband or something?

Usually 10c ticket holders are given 10c wristbands for GA shows.

Do people think we will be given wrist bands??

I'm hoping to swap my standing 10c ticket with a seated tkt (pre-arranged). It clearly won't work if I have a wristband

They don't always put them straight on to you. Sometimes (usually from the shows I've been to) they just hand them to you to put on yourself so then you could do the swap.

  • If anyone is looking to avoid the crush and wants to swap a Level 2 unreserved seating ticket for downstairs standnig PM me. Thanks,.

I think the doors open early because SBE doesn't really have the space for mammoth queues, so they probably want to get people inside as early as feasibly possible. As for a support, never underestimate the venue's ability to make you wait. At the Pixies gig at the Forum in 06 and Foos gig at the Underworld in 07 there was no support at all. Standing around for 2 hours with no band to focus on is a killer on legs.

I wonder how the queues will be arranged. They may just put the normal standing and seating people in one queue if they want to have a 10c queue. Or maybe it'll be the same seating to the right, standing to the left, with the 2 standing queues side by side. Think it's gonna get complicated unless they get clear signposting out there early

Has anyone been seating at a SBE show before? Where is the merch stall for the seating people?

Merchandise is in the main foyer as you enter the building (on the left).

Seating on levels ONE, TWO & THREE are first come first served, but there is also standing room at the back and around the sides. LEVEL ONE has the best view. I always getting tickets on this level, rather than standing in the STALLS which can get packed. Too old for that!!
