I can't help but think that the pimp is somehow related to Snoop Dogg. Snoop apparently has his own brand of tricycles or something:

Then you have a look at him in the following pictures:
http://jackasscritics.com/movie.php?movie_key=660 (on the right side of the poster)
http://i.realone.com/assets/rn/img/1/3/ ... -large.jpg (notice necklace too)

http://www.rollingstone.com/photos/gall ... nd/photo/2
...and then throw in his porn thing:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... a_Pimp.jpg (may not be work safe)
It seems to me like we just need to find the exact frame that most closely matches the image in Tom's artwork and that somehow there is a dig at Snoop buried in all of this.0 -
You can see my interpretation of the brain picture in my profile image.

I love this thread...I just wish I was good at finding something so I could frigging contribute! :PJA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?

I just realized something - this is something my husband could do - if only he had the patience to sit still for long, especially in front of the internet!
He is into women from 50's... we have a framed picture of Sophia Loren & Cary Grant on September 23, 1956 from the Detroit News on the wall... and he also collects some pictures of women from back then, including the book, "The Great American Pin-Up" by Charles G. Martignette/Louis K. Meisel, covering women from 1920-1980.
I went through all 441 pages and didn't find her. :(
When he comes home from the gym and before he takes our daughters fishing, I hope he can help me out on this!
Since I went through so much trouble this morning, I'm gonna put up a picture I really like from this book - I am enthralled with the Indians history and their cultures/traditions (although I admit this would be a big insult to the Indians, as it does not truly represent the women):
Bummer...I was hoping I'd finally find something. But if anyone hasn't beat my husband to this...I'll make him find her!
Ahh....good luck!Post edited by IamMine onJA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?

If we truly want to go indepth, I can say the B-9 robot from Lost in Space shares its name with the B-9 bomber plane. Which might not mean much but the B-29 bomber is the aircraft responsible for dropping atomic bombs on Japan. And, let's not forget in the '70s the governor of Ohio, John Gilligan, claimed to witness a UFO sighting.
As for distracting us from the real world, as you put it, I would direct you to what is referred as "Brain in a Vat Theory", which postulates all our thoughts may, in theory, be controlled by some mad scientist, deferring us away from any real world expereinces. I'm beginning to feel like I'm dissecting an episode of 'Lost'. Of course, this can all be balderdash, and most probably is.0 -

I think the idea is certainly similar.&&&&&&&&&&&&&&0 -

I definitely get an Esther Wiliams vibe...
The movie is Dangerous When Wet from 1953 and it was with Tom and Jerry!!!!"McCready played on, lending credence to the theory that he was actually built in Stone’s basement from spare truck parts and vinyl records." - Glide Mag. review of MSG 7/8/030 -

Bad Astronaut drummer Derrick Plourde was found dead yesterday (March 30), the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Probably a stretch...but how about Keith Moon of The Who???0 -

Yeah. I retract my guess. You might be right. Then again, his suit is similar to the ones worn by the old cosmonauts. Either that, or from something like 2001: space odyssey, with a drumkit superimposed.0 -
"In 1965, forty years ago on June 3rd, astronaut Edward White made the first U.S. spacewalk. Tethered to his Gemini IV capsule, White is pictured above holding a compressed gas "zip gun" for maneuvers in his right hand. His spacewalk began over the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii and ended 23 minutes later above the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, the term spacewalk is a bit deceiving as White was falling freely in low earth orbit alongside his capsule manned by fellow astronaut James McDivitt. In free-fall, White was able to control his motions by firing bursts from his gun until its supply of compressed gas ran out. He ultimately returned, exhausted, to the two-man Gemini capsule."
Looks pretty close to me..."Trial and error isn't a bad way to learn how to build an aircraft, but it can be a disastrous way to learn how to build a civilization..."0
