It didn't mention anything about the lottery, no. But check out my post about three posts above you. Seems like there WILL be a lottery. That said, I wish I didn't know that... it'd be too cool to watch the winners, not knowing the lottery was even happening, receive their tickets and get damn excited!

yeah i shouldve used the quote button. that was my email to 10c yesterday, per beer barons request. sorry about that.

that being said, im always on the fence about whether or not i prefer the lottery. i have a pretty good # (129XXX), and it usually just ends up pushing me back 4 rows (5 shows in 2008 and no lottery win). but i still think its a pretty cool idea, and i guess it gives me that hope while walking up to the ticket window. plus, it gets some new blood right up front every night
I agree 100% with what you said. I am a supporter of the lottery. In fact, I benefited from it in '08 and ended up 2nd row at MSG through my girlfriend's 10C number (which is in the 400xxx range). It was an amazing experience.

But, those tickets were sold to us with no mention of a lottery and thus there should be no lottery for those 3 shows IMO.

As much as I am one of the many who a lottery benefits, I don't think it is right to have a lottery for these 3 shows after the on sale announcements made no mention of a lottery.
I'm going to agree... the lottery is OK, but it sucks when they change it after the fact. The friend I'm going with could have bought their own fan club tickets and we could have had a better shot at better seats.

Oh well... what do you really expect?
Who knows - if it really is entirely random, your number shouldn't affect your odds of winning the lottery.

I think he means that him and his friend could have each bought a pair and had 2 shots at hitting the lottery.

I'm in the same position - going with my own 10C number (357xxx) to the Toronto show, but I don't think it's right for them to arbitrarily change the rules, without even telling anyone who didn't ask.

    What rules?
Sorry, not 'rules', I guess 'conditions' is more appropriate.

A friend just called them and confirmed that there will be a lottery for these shows. He will post specifics later.

Specifics about this fact not being in their ticket sale announcement. Or something.

I'm happy to hear the latest news that there will be a lottery bcuz in the original announcement it said this for the Toronto Show:

Ten Club tickets are for reserved seating and will be allocated by seniority. Seat locations will be reserved from the 1st row on the floor, extending back, and the side sections closest to the stage. The longer you have been in the fan club, the closer your seats will be to the stage. Newer members should not expect prime seat locations. Proximity to the stage is contingent on the amount of members in attendance.

I guess it doesn't necessarily say no lottery.

Frankly, it's pretty irrelevant what they said originally, as well as what's right or wrong for them to do - the fact is, rows 1-2 and 9-10 will be allocated randomly through the lottery, as confirmed by myself through email, as well as several others here by email and phone. I confirmed this today, for the record.

yeah, not cool of them to change the rules in the middle of the game, but this is not the first or last time that they are unclear.

I can't argue with people being angry, but the most anybody is gonna be pushed back is a couple rows. It's hard to feel too sorry for anybody as they've had their chances at front row.
