can't they throw a dallas show in there between LA and austin? um, please?
Yeah! I'll even buy W a ticket so he can come rock out with us!
Do you think they stopped playing the south because they have trouble selling tickets there?
Just curious.
Fans from the south, did they sell out their shows last time they hit your location?
I may live in a PJ high traffic zone, but I want them to play everywhere, just because I think everyone deserves to see them as much as possible.
Oct 9th!!! My birthday!! Woooo hoooooo!! might skip out on Chicago and buy ticket to San Diego!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
me, too!! : )
xoxo
NICE!!! I'm sooooo excited now!!!!!!!!!!!

They didn't sell out all of the northern shows in 2006 either. And they didn't sell out all of the 2008 shows.
Also the last time they were was 6 years ago.
And if they don't sell out the 20,000 seat arena play smaller venues! Like every other band on the planet!
great to see that they are touring .hoping they will add more dates on east coast. but ben harper ? overrated and really boring.saw him at a club show and would rather have stayed home . average lyrics for very mediocre songs.

An old tired argument. They didn't sell out all of the northern shows in 2006 either. And they didn't sell out all of the 2008 shows.

No, I wasn't making an argument, I was just curious if there was any sort of valid reason. As for playing smaller venues, not sure, but when you're a band of Pearl Jam's stature and you have you're own PA system and a large support crew and all that, it may not be economically feasible to play a string of smaller venues. One off shows and local Seattle shows sure, you can handle the expense, but a tour might be problematic.
LMAO. I saw "Tour" and got my hopes up. 4 cities is a tour now? That's funny.
Wayne Newton has been doing a North American tour for the past 25 years by these standards.
Nice! Harsh, but nice. Totally true.
If you add on Chicago it's a 5 city tour.
Austin doesn't count, since it's a festival and you have zero chance of getting row 1-2 or 9-10 or anything else close unless you're a crazy person with 80,000 people behind you. Thanks but no thanks.

I know. Sorry, I didn't mean to make seem like I was attacking you. Just frustrated that every other band on their level and above or below can take time out of their busy schedules to actually play live shows in some places besides LA, Philly, NY, Boston, Chicago, etc.
they haven't even sold out chicago and tons of people are traveling for it. they would do just as well or better at the AA center in dallas. they're already going to be in the state for fucks sake. to say "we would rather play la 4 times" is a fucking slap in the face.

And LA is a small venue at that so that ruins the theory on the amount of equipment/crew, etc.
And yes, you can go to ticketmaster right now and pull Chicago tix.
soulsinging wrote "Eh, I don't blame them. I mean, they're all pretty financially soundby this point I imagine. And if I had the luxury, I sure as hell wouldn't work full-time either They got families and shit... so it goes. I just think it's time people start admitting that this band is not going to do a full-on tour of the south or the west (not the coast, the upper midwest and great plains, etc) again... it's hard on them and it's not a big moneymaker. You wanna see cool bands instead of a bunch of shitty country acts and washed up 60s-70s rockers doing the county fair circuit... move to a real city ."
Really dude like where, Chicago  . Only reason they are hitting there is because Ed's from the area, doubt it's to be on Oprah or to surf Lake Michigan. What about NYC? So much for large city theory. I hope you were being sarcastic in your commentary because it's total bullshit about them being too huge to play a real tour. They teamed up with Targee to ensure income and they make it in smaller cities, maybe more so because of the lower costs to stay there. Hell, the Stones were 20 years older and did a full WORLD tour in 05, as did Bruce Springsteen this year, and U2 to name three older and bigger off the top of my head. (By bigger I mean larger fan base, not better). Even Paul McCartney plays more shows (also touring this year) and I highly doubt he needs the cash and is hitting all the one trick pony towns you suggest are beneath them. This spiffy preppie shit wasn't part of the Pearl Jam community I remember and certainly not what they stood for in the past. They may have their reasons for so few dates, but I prefer to think none of the ones you mentioned are any of them.
I'm really glad Seattle's getting their shows this year and it looks like Down Under's on the list too - good on ya! Hope everyone gets tickets to the shows of their choices.

I'd just like to say Thanks to 10 Club for:
1.) not only announcing 1 or 2 cities
b.) not throwing tix up for sale immediately
and d.) listing a bunch of dates making things actually look somewhat like a tour.
However, 1 thing...How much for tickets???
I'm not complaining even though I may not be able to attend any of them!
Sort yerself out an airline ticket!! We'll find you a patch of floor to sleep on!!!
AND HOLY CARP!!!

Ahhh thanks, my dear I wish I could. If I had my part time job lined up already I might be able to go for it...as of not I am not sure I should. I may hold out for the Gorge next year
