    10 minutes is a lot if you think that could be a couple of songs more, or it could make a bunch of the current songs into longer songs.

    36 minutes is pretty short, but it doesn't mean that much.

    I would have thought that guy who blogged about having heard the album (was he a writer for NME or something?) would have mentioned it being really short.

    Avocado is 37 minutes long and 11 songs if you cut Come Back and Inside Job.

    Yield is 38 minutes and 11 songs if you cut Push Me Pull Me and All Those Yesterdays.

    So sure, the album is shorter than normal, but it doesn't necessarily mean we should expect an album or particularly short songs or anything. I know a lot of people here were expecting that after hearing 'Got Some', thinking we'll have a lot more punkish short songs.

    haha yeah but I'm serious...Its ridiculous. I think I've heard it all now. Don't think its long enough? Then don't buy it. Just wait until the album after comes out (if there is another one) and listen to them back to back and pretend its a REALLY long album...of course then maybe it will be TOO long with too much filler and not enough ED songs.

    I don't think we can really tell much from any of this other than the fact that overall the album is shorter! haha.

    If each song is only 3 minutes, or a little more, but there's room for jam / improv, I'll love it. After all, Porch is only 3:30 on Ten, but they haven't played a version of it under 6 minutes since they've started.

    children, back before those shiny aluminum discs or digital files, there was vinyls....which could only hold 35 to 45 minutes worth of music

    just because a artist has room to put 80 minutes of music on one album doesn't mean they should

    None of these track titles are jumping out at me. Fairly generic.

    Although the End is a GREAT song, having heard it in Philly so I have high hopes still.

    I guess the Cigarette Song got cut. :lol:

    This sounds like a final tracklisting...

    'See My Friends' was mentioned in that Rolling Stone article, 'The Fixer' is the single, 'Got Some' on Conan and 'The End' from the current tour.

    That 'Breathe' song sounds like that mid-way track that is drenched in strings that was mentioned on that blog.

    Hopefully the 36 minutes is "not a second wasted" as opposed to "we could have done more."

    Repetition for the sake of longevity can be a lot worse than being short, so if this is what they decided put out, I'm having faith. Last thing I want is for this to drag out. Only thing is that it's a little disheartening to wait 3 years for 36 minutes.
