    B's get the Habs ... the Bruins pretty much dominated the season series ... but, it's the playoffs, so, you can throw that out. I still say the B's take them. Tough to shut the B's down, no one big line to stop ... lots of 20+ goal scorers. Thomas had a fantastic year, the playoffs are about defense and goaltending ... I like the Bruins to make some noise.

    An underrated series for y'all to keep an eye on ... Sharks v Ducks ... 2 California teams, and from the games I saw this year, they do NOT like each other ... watch for this one to get chippy.

    philly fan picking the flyers to go to the finals? being a bit generous there?

    come on, give the rangers a little more credit... the washington series isn't going to be as quick as 5 games.

    Hey..I didnt pick up to win but we are the most high powered offense in the East. And the Rangers might push it to 6 but they arent getting out the first round..sorry man

    i'm not expecting them to get out of the first round. i was dreading that they would end up playing the caps, was hoping for boston... thought they stood a better chance against them.

    i am a ranger fan, i am used to sheer and utter disappointment year after year. it comes within the territory.

    but we'll see what happens. it's hard to bet against lundqvist, but i don't see the rangers shutting the caps top line down in a 7 game series.

    Funny because as much as I hate the Pens, Malkin and CRosbY are 1 and 3 in league points. The Pens and Canes are WAY too hot right now to lose in the first round. Biron is another reason they will lose, goaltending wins playoff series...he's incredibly inconsistent.

    The Rangers/Caps series is going to be great. With the caps having one of the best PP units vs the Rangers PK that's 1st in the league will be a nice match-up. If the Rangers win the series I can see them putting Boston to a 7 game test as well. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a Rangers fan. Ever since Tortarella took over, they are 10x faster and scoring way more. It's a completely different team, especially with Antropov's big ass mother fuckin body pounding to the net, and Avery doing what he does best. The only thing I'm worried about is sometimes the Rangers look completely lost on defense, a major part of that being the Redden/Rosival match-up.

    Plus my X-Factor teams for each conference are the Canes and Hawks, I wouldn't be surprised if they made a run to the finals

    This maybe the upset in the 1st round in the east. You gotta give the Rangers the edge in goal, Lundqvist could carry them over the Caps

    I think the Pens are the team to watch. They are red hot right now and their big names haven't even been scoring much - most of their points have been coming from their deeper lines. If their big guns get going they're going to be a very tough team to beat.

    Big time hockey fan and I agree that the next 2 months are the best! Red Wings and Bruins are my fave 2 teams all time and I would be so happy to shell out serious money to see them play in the finals but even I am worried that the Wings don't have it this year. I said it in October and and I'm still saying it - their defensive zone coverage SUCKS! Hate the Flyers and Penguins so I hope they kill each other :) Other than that I am so going to enjoy these first round matchups:)

    The Detroit Red Wings are by far the least exciting team in the NHL to watch. Talented? Yes. Winners? No doubt. Boring? I would amost rather watch a basketball game than watch a Wings game.

    Since work has slowed down a little this year and I have time to watch some games, I had better not be subjected to a long Wings run in the playoffs.
