  • I am a huge Rangers fan and I know their in 7th/8th but I really believe they can beat either Boston or the Caps. We can play with Boston, our series is tied 2-2 and both goal-tenders are incredible. As for the Caps, I think the series would be tougher than against Boston but I think we have the goal tending advantage over the Caps. It would be fuckin sick to see Ovi vs Henrik for a 7 games series.

As for the other match-ups, if Pitt plays the Devils, I can see Pitt winning. Marrrrrrrrrrrty hasn't been looking sharp lately and either has that defense, plus Pitt has been playing incredible lately and I can see them just running over the Devs.

With that said, Carolina looks like the team to beat in my opinion in the East. I think they could beat Pitt, Philly, or the Devils in the first round. After that I think the only test they will have is Boston or the Caps (depending on who the Rangers play cause lets face it the Canadians aren't going to win the first round). Plus they SO hot right now going into the stretch.

Now for the west. I LOVE SAN JOSE, but there's always that gut feeling they will choke. San Jose and Detroit will win their first series. The Chicago/Calgary series is going to be my favorite of the first round, it's going to be so fast paced it's going to be un-real. With that said Columbus is a nice story but they won't beat Vancouver (or Calgary if Calgary wins the division). Chicago is my team to watch out for, I don't think they will beat San Jose or Detroit but they have the best chance out of the other Western teams.

    My prediction

Carolina vs San Jose in the cup finals

Bruins fan here. I think they have just a good a shot as anyone to win it all. Can't wait to see who they face first in the playoffs. I pray it's the Habs so we can exact revenge for last year's series. But if it's the Rangers, I'll be happy too. Both teams will give the B's a run for the money. Thomas is on fire this year and Lucic and Savard are big threats. Can't wait to see how the post season shapes up.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

    5/17/10 Boston, 10/15/13 Worcester, 10/16/13 Worcester, 10/25/13 Hartford
    8/5/16 Fenway, 8/7/16 Fenway
EV Solo: 6/16/11 Boston, 6/18/11 Hartford,

tough to see where my jekyll and hyde rangers will end up. i think they matched up a little better against boston than washington. have to wait and see what rangers team decides to show up.
  • East Match ups are set...

    NJD vs Canes. Oh brother...

I hate to say it but I think the Devils need Clemmonson back, Marty just isn't his top form as of late

I hope they can go further this year than last

  • I updated the first thread with the series, I will try to keep it updated, I will keep all the scores, stats and what not in one place and you can just come here and check it out. :D

  • I can't wait for the Pens to send the Flyers packing for the second straight year! I think that the Pens and Canes are on a collision course and if they don't meet in the next round then they will meet to represent the East.

I'd like to see the Hawks and Blue Jackets make some noise in the West, but anything can happen in the playoffs.

Here come the greatest two months in sports!

Huge for the Blues to make it up to the 6th seed. Sucks for the CBJ to get Detroit in the first round, Mason will need to steal that series for them. Battle of PA will be cool. Surprising that CAR beat NJ in the season series and 2 of those were with Marty back. Also surprised CHI swept the season series from CAL. CAL will need to get healthy there or it's lights out for them.
