It has to be per order. I'm sure they want repeat customers!Music For Rhinos wrote:says there's a 2 case limit. is that per order or EVER?
You can buy it in stores around here and you won't believe the difference.

yeah, my father-in-law loves that stuff. we always grab a bunch before we head down to Houston to visit.
and to answer the question from MusicForRhinos earlier....the museum is pretty cool. it takes about an hour to go through it (which is about a half hour too long!), but it's not too bad. we went there before we moved here & i think once was enough for both of us. they're renovating it & some of the "displays" are really out there.I LOVE MUSIC.

pretty cool. do they offer free tasting of the sugar cane dr pepper? and what about merchandise?0 -
they have all kinds of random crap in there w/ the DP logo. there's actually a "Dr. Pepper Hour" where my wife & I go to grad school (Baylor University). here's a link...
http://www.baylor.edu/student_activitie ... p?id=38465
neither one of us has been to one. it's funny, though. even the local grocery stores/gas stations feature DP over coke & pepsi. which sucks if the only soda you drink isn't dr. pepper!
well, there you have it..Waco's claim to fame. so sad, but so true! 8-)

haha yeah i've heard people say this. i don't see it personally....cough syrup is a pretty particular medicine-y taste.
dr pepper actually tastes GOOD. what kind of cough syrup are you talking about here? i'm very familiar with the taste of dr pepper (obviously) and also with the taste of cough syrup, i've had it a lot in the past. and i truly don't see the comparison. but everybody's taste buds are different i guess. if they weren't, we would all like the same foods/drinks and that certainly isn't the case.0 -
I love Dr.Pepper and not that fake diet stuff either. I have at least three cans a day...I have too...it's my coffee in the morning!

Just backing up everyone's opinion on Dublin Dr. Pepper. I once drove all the way there just to buy some and take the tour. Order it online from time to time. Beliveve me, there is no comparison to the stuff they sell now with corn syrup.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

Independent bottler made a decision to use cane sugar instead of corn syrup.....I suspect that somewhere near Dublin one would find sugar cane being grown.

So it's an independent bottler not affiliated with Dr Pepper? How do they have permission to bottle and sell the sugar cane version and use Dr Pepper's name?
And if they are affiliated, why doesn't the company make the decision to distribute and sell it elsewhere? They could if they really wanted to. Everyone raves about how great it is...they'd probably sell a lot of it on a national scale...0 -

Probably affiliated.....there are several independent bottlers for Coke, Pepsi and Dr. Pepper...our local Pepsi bottler is actually an independent....sometimes they opt out of carrying the entire Pepsi line. Independent just means that Pepsi or Dr. Pepper or Coke does not own the operation, and you are licensed to produce and distribute the product.Music For Rhinos wrote:tybird wrote:Independent bottler made a decision to use cane sugar instead of corn syrup.....I suspect that somewhere near Dublin one would find sugar cane being grown.

The corn lobby is strong enough to get congress to invest in corn as the alternate fuel source, imagine what pressure they bring to bear on soft drink company. All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. I don't know if your kidding about corn or not, but just about every soda made in the U.S. uses corn syrup, actually I read somewhere that Dr. Pepper was pretty much the last large soda company to switch to corn syrup. The other thing I like about living in Texas is that it is so close to Mexico that it's pretty easy to go to stores or restaurants and buy Cokes and other sodas that are made in Mexico that do not use corn syrup.
Hey in-hiding79, where in Texas do you live, I'm in Austin.[img][/img]9/5/92, 11/20/93, 3/14,15/94, 9/16/95, 10/14,15/2000
