Yep, Hurley is the best and I still think he is in more in tune with the island now than Locke is.
And I think Ponc is going to have a field day tomorrow with the fact Hurley popped Xanadu in the vcr.- Busted down the pretext

That was the best part of the show.
Question #1: How old is aaron in the end? 3 or 4?
Question #2: Jack falling off the deep end... does that happen before or after this trial. He appears to becoming more stable as the flash forwards continue. Do you think the first episode flash forward could be how the last epsiode of the season ends? Maybe they are slowly revealing everything leading to that point?07-02-98, 10-11-00, 04-22-03, 04-23-03, 06-09-03, 06-10-03, 06-18-03, 06-21-03, 06-22-03, 10-02-04, 10-03-04, 10-05-04, 05-16-06, 05-17-06, 05-22-06, 06-24-06, 06-29-060 -
Thought it was a really good episode, though you could kind of predict some of the events. I had a feeling the child was gonna be Aaron. Kate just didn't seem like the type to want to have a baby. They tried to portray her as showing interest tonight to lead the viewer on, but she didn't seem ready to take that step. I also think that she is really in love with Jack and she wouldn't have a baby of her own unless it was his.
What do you guys think about the helicopter not reaching the freighter? I'm not convinced that they didn't make it to the boat. There has been so much secrecy involving the boat and the people who came in on it that everything is up in the air for me until I see something.Brian0 -
Oops, double post. Board freezing on me.
Regarding the timline, I think this season's flash forwards take place before those in last season's finale. I still think that at some point in the story (final season maybe) they will be going back to the island.Brian0 -

Aaron looked younger than 3. Then again I'm not well attuned to baby ages.
And I assume that Jack's breakdown (from the season three finale) was after all of these flash-forwards. Kate was a free woman so she wasn't on trial or anything..
I have a theory (and I didn't read the 5 new pages since the last episode aired).. Jack said 8 survived the crash. Could one of them have been Claire? And now she is dead? If you remember in the season three finale, "something" happened. Jack and Kate were really secretive about it. As if they had something to do with the death of an innocent. My theory is that Claire dies by the hands of either Jack or Kate, and Kate decides to take Aaron home. Hence the reason for the shadiness.
We also have to assume that along with the 6 survivors, 2 bodies were found (there is no other reason for jack to say that 2 people died).. so the next question is, which 2 died? Will they just recycle a Niki and Paulo story and say that they survived but died on the island? Or will two people die? My guess is Claire and Jin (no solid evidence here, except like a few other deceased members, he got a DUI in real life, lol).Abraham Lincoln once said, "If you are a racist, I will attack you with the North."0 -

It's not weak at all. It's cool, actually. Who saw that coming? Why couldn't a baby be a member of the Oceanic 6?
That episode had me hook, line, and sinker. I didn't enjoy it that much, but that last scene totally redeemed it for me. I still have goosebumps when she said, "Aaron." I was thinking she was going to say his name was "James" ie Sawyer. They totally got me and it was a lot of fun to watch.
One thing to remember: Desmond said Aaron and Claire got on a helicopter. This makes it so much more interesting because why is Aaron with Kate but no Claire if they both got on the helicopter?"We're fixed good, lamp-wise."0 -
is anyone noticing a trend in the turn the lives of the "surviovors" are taking?
it seems as though jack is becoming the addicted and ostricized surgeon that his father was, hurley has found himself back in the institution, sayid is an assassin, and kate has become the mother who lies to her child about who his real parents are (i'm assuming she'll have to) like her mother lied to her.
it seems as though each fear is being lived out.0 -
oh yeah, how about faraday showing some psychic powers with the cards? it looked in the preview like desmond said "am i going to die, mate?" or something like that...maybe he has the same "gift" as desmond and they were hoping the island would enhance it or bring it to light.0

Good point about the people who got off the island.
As for Faraday, I got the impression he was trying to remember what the cards were. If he was being psychic, I completely missed that! (Which is very possible)."We're fixed good, lamp-wise."0 -

I didn't see the pop up episode, but I think I made a post about Widmore being involved with the freighter people last week. I really think he's involved because of the way Lapidus and Farraday reacted when Desmond asked about Widmore and Penny. This weekend we rock Portland0 -

I have to assume Claire dies (maybe from embarassment after finding out Jack is her brother right after banging him), can't imagine she wants to just stay behind like Locke and Sawyer and let turnip head leave. This weekend we rock Portland0

i would guess that aaron was born in october 2004 with current day on the island being late december/early january 2005. bearded jack and swanky kate's airport meeting took place in april 2007. so the trial could have taken place at any point between jan 2005 and april 2007, which would put aaron roughly at 2 to 2.5 years old? but that's assuming that the trial takes place in march/april 2007. he looked older than that. he must have the giant ghost walt disease where he ages super fast. plus, if the trial took place that late, that's once super quick meltdown for jack from the guy that wanted to get coffee with kate to a guy that's popping pills, growing a beard and taking weekly flights to the far east in hopes of crashing on the island again.
my guess is that the flash-forward to the airport conversation is the latest flash-forward and all other flash-forwards so far are happening prior to april 2007.
these are answers from an entertainment weekly interview with the producers:
CUSE: But we do feel this is a place where we can challenge the audience to create a chronology — where Sayid's story happens in relationship with Jack's story, etc. We'll be adding pieces of that mosaic over the course of these five hours that should hopefully leave you with some fairly clear understanding of what happened between the time the Oceanic 6 were rescued or returned to the real world and Jack and Kate's final scene in the season finale.
LINDELOF: It's been weird, though. When we got back from the strike, we had to put up a master timeline of the future, from the point where the Oceanic 6 will end up leaving the Island all the way up to where the flash-forwards will end.0 -
JSBE wrote:still not super happy about last night's episode and i'm surprised only one other person has stated a little displeasure in the fact that aaron is apparently a memeber of the oceanic 6.
I wasn't under the assumption that Aaron is part of the Oceanic 6, leaving 2 more people to be revealed. But who knows.0 -
Miles might be asking for 3.2 million because that is the amount that Ben took in some way from the people who are after him. The photo that Miles had of Ben showed him in an office setting. He may have been working for the group or had infiltrated them and so was in a position to steal or imbezzle funds. Miles knows about it so knows how much to ask for. Also, Miles knew that the drug dealer kid had money. Maybe through his psychic powers he knows how much cash Ben has lying around. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi0

As to where is Claire, there is the argument that she would have to be dead in order for Kate to have Aaron. However, there may have been some circumstance on the island that she knew she couldn't leave, but she didn't want Aaron to remain on the island for some reason so she sent him off with Kate to save him.
Locke is now an ass****. Maybe Jack had the right idea when he pulled the trigger in that past episode.
I am also not sure whether Sawyer told Locke about Kate's plan in an effort to aid Kate or not. It wasn't clear was it? Especially, when he told Kate that he had helped Locke because he saw no reason for Locke to become mistrustful of both of them. I can't imagine Sawyer willingly being Locke's gopher. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi0
