    I told I have my Patriots shirt, Red Sox hat with my Bruins pin and well my green underwear for the C's and St. Patrick's Day. I got a nice seat 3rd base side 7 rows back, surrounded by Red Sox fans.

    As for the attendance debate, statistics can be bent either way. The MFY get to go to Shea for at least one series of a sellout every year. Where as the sox got Atlanta last year. So lies damn lies and statistics aside you cannot deny that the sox and yanks are equal draws on the road.

    Oh, and people often forget that Boston is a college town. Many people spend thne best years of their life here and then go back to where they came from. Many of these people end up being sox fans. It goes a long way to explaining the nation.

    Oh, and please dont agrue road attendance as a positive for the Yanks and then say all Boston fans are bandwagon jumpers. You too have your fair share of people who have never been to NYC and root for the Yanks.

    Winning teams get more fans. What Hank doesnt like is that the Sox are winning and that has made them popular. He wants it to be Yankee country? Win the series again. Pretty simple.

    Ehhh, any teams "fans" are largely contingent on the team winning, Yankees included. I went to a few games in the early 90's that had about 5,000 people there. If the Yankees stink in 10 years, or the Red Sox in 5, both teams will still draw the true fans, but I doubt either will sell out regularly.

    5,000 at Yankee Stadium in the early 90's I find that hard to believe. With the new stadium coming even if they're at the bottom of the East the fans will pack that place.

    ......And if the Red Sox are in town it is a gauranteed sellout even if the Yanks are at the bottom of the East.

    Hell I'll drive up and be at that game.
