    NO he did not say "we don't throw at .260 hitters". that's just another one of those media hyped things between the yanks-sox that didn't actually occur. If you do a simple lexis nexis search, or google search you will find that 'Tek (ugh) actually admitted as much saying that "I'm not clever enough to come up with that". Which, judging by his 'roided up mug ;), seems pretty close to the truth.

    Anyway, I'm all for Yankees getting popped in the face, but at least make sure you are telling the truth when it comes to the story.

    seriously? you don't see an issiue with a guy covered head to toe in protective gear starting a fight? Again, it's the Boston Hypocrisy. If Posada threw a punch at a Red Sock in full gear, you'd be livid. But when your guy does it, he's a hero. That's just about the biggest bitch, pussy move in all of mankind. Why not just wait til the guy's running to first with his back turned to you, and then you can Pearl Harbor him? And hey, why not bring a bat along?

    2 examples over the last 12-15 years proves my point. the fact that one of them is dead shows that karma exists.

    Hey now, no facts allowed in this here discussion. No logic either. if somebody does something with the letters BOSTON across their chest, then they are in the right. If any other letters are across their chest they are dead wrong, even if they did the exact same thing

    I think Shields should have got no suspension. What's he supposed to do, just let Crisp storm the mound and pummel him until help arrives? It can't be for hitting Crisp---how do they know his intent? And if you get suspended every time you hit a batter, Pedro would have pitched once a month, kinda like he does now with the Mets

    go into him hard at 3rd if theres a play, or even at home plate

    Wait...FACT ALERT...Arod did ask "do you wanna go?". 'tek did what any self-respecting white Bostonian would do, punch a minority in the face with a glove with chants of let's go southie in the background (okay so I made part of that up). Honestly the real fight that happened in that game was when Ortiz KIMBOED Sturtz from behind with a wild right-left. That was clearly a typical baseball fight, no one should be proud of themselves. It wasn't like a Nolan Ryan beatdown no matter how many dollar store books have the picture as a front cover.

    WTF, if Manny is stupid enough to spit at or call Posada's Mom a hoe or any Yankee except A-Rod :) (he's a pussy) then I would certainly expect Posada to pummel his ass. Plain and simple, it comes to the circumstances that instigates the situation.

    Well, that part of the story depends on your view. The Red Sox reporter covering the story said Ortiz pulled Sturtze off Kapler as Sturtze was choking Kapler from behind and then Kapler and Nixon beat on Sturtze. The Yankees claimed that Ortiz threw a punch and missed Sturtze before pulling Sturtze off Kapler. Major League baseball agreed more with the Red Sox side and Ortiz was only fined $500 for his part in that fight. So I don't think he "Kimbo'd" anyone in that fight.
