This is not an "I am soooo popular people are sooooo jealous of me" whine. It really isn't. I promise. I know my shit stinks and I am not everyone's cup of tea. I just wish people that don't know me would leave me alone. You know?
People that are just snarky and mean and you want to give a Glasgow kiss to.

I am sure you get it alot..you know everyone. You seem to be well liked here and people go out on a limb for you. I am sure you have been the victim of a drive by jealousy streak.
Nope...thankfully! I usually put it down to simply a clash of characters... although I could be wrong but I'm unaware of there being anything to be jealous of. Like I've said before but backwards :D I have everything... but I have fuck all! So there are no possessions, no great beauty, nothing to be jealous of... perhaps my happiness? but jealousy won't give anyone the happiness that I have. It's a bitter twisted circle perhaps.

But honestly, don't be so quick to throw jealousy into the equation... not having a pop at you or anything... but if someone's being mean to you, perhaps find out why before jumping to conclusions? :o Maybe something you've done that slipped your mind?

    Verona??? it's all surmountable

This is not happening to me personally, as in they are not contacting me personally, just spreading shit around. Gossip. Just like what I said to rar-arar, so I know the difference.
And people will always be jealous of someone else's happiness. Me, being pretty happy about the person that I am, am not jealous of other's happiness. I tend to just make myself a part of it. You are right, there is not sense in wasting energy being jealous...that bitter twisted circle.
I draw beautiful, happy people to me. People that care for me and I can care for. In my real life it is more important than ever now. I am proud of that...that I have these people in my life. And I am proud of the people I have collected here as 'friends'.
Anyway...it is raining here and it makes me sad once in a while.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Oh I KNOW people talk about me in pm's and that's fine... people who haven't met me, I take it anything but personally and find it funny how they can often be the quickest to presume they know me :D HOW could ya take that shit personally? I mean, I can see how I can rub people up the wrong way... here and in real life... but that's just how I am. If I've something to say I'm gonna say it whether you like it or not... if ya don't like it, you're not my kinda person anyway :D

So yeh, jealousy is an easy way out to explain people not liking ya.

hahahaha... number of posts has NOTHING to do with popularity and vice versa :D

If people only liked me cos I'd so many posts, I'd be worried :o

:D Oh I know that... which is why I don't equate post number to popularity... it just means I've probably acknowledged or chatted to or become friends with more people than the rest of yas.

but yep... still nothing to be jealous of :)

I am pretty shocked someone is having a go at you...you have got to be the friendliest person here. Me on the other hand...maybe I have something they want. I am sorry you are being gossiped about. But you know, you are awesome.

I am shocked too. Rargh is one of the sweetest people on here..OMG I laughed at the want ads comment. I should have quoted Rargh directly as I really liked it.. it was very well said... but yeah I am just shocked that someone would be nasty to Rargh?? :( but then again I have discovered some people are just asses.

Without reading all the other responses, I think jealousy can come in when someone feels that the other person isn't really entitled to what they have, or that the one who is jealous is 'just as good' as the other person, so why don't they have the same thing. However those feelings are perceptions and not necessarily based on reality.

best post on the thread. concise and spot on. and, exactly.

to me, jealousy is an *ugly* emotion and more often than not, poisons the person feeling it, and perhaps relationships too. a waste of time.

i am not a religious person, and paraphrasing here but:

grant me the strength to change the things i can
accept the things i cannot change
and grant me the wisdom to know the difference

    :)

that's it. if it's something you cannot *change* have no control/positive influence...let it go......live your life.....make your own happiness.
    Stay with me...

I am myself like you somehow

Yeah anyone that goes after Rargh is jerk store that would soon be missing teeth

This place can be cliquey in ways but I don't normally see full on rudeness. Oh well, an ass today is an ass tomorrow. :)
