  • Break out the hip waders.....this one could be the big swim.

Who knows you guys might crack off and float over to Hawaii instead of sinking into the ocean.

    you just never know...

No no, the big one is still coming, and it's going to be based out of Palm Springs. That's supposedly the area under the highest stress and they're just waiting. That's when I'll be going swimming. :D
  • I was in the shower. I've never been in an earthquake before. I thought I was losing my mind. Good times.

Man, my office building was moving for several minutes.

Yeah 5.8 is not insignificant in a populated area like Chino Hills.

Yeah, it was pretty long! I was eating my lunch in the breakroom and it kept going so I finally got my plate and climbed under the table. Yep, I took my lunch under the table with me. :D

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- A magnitude-5.8 earthquake has struck just east of Los Angeles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake's epicenter was about 2 miles southwest of Chino Hills and about 5 miles southeast of Diamond Bar, the USGS said.
The center was about 7.6 miles deep. In general, earthquakes centered closer to the Earth's surface produce stronger shaking and can cause more damage than those further underground.
A 5.8 magnitude quake is considered by the USGS to be "moderate," which can cause slight damage to buildings and others structures. About 500 can happen globally each year, the survey says.

More like a tornado in Oklahoma. While expected on occasion, still unpredictable and scary. The thing with earthquakes, there is no warning. A beautiful cloudless sky here in LA. Then all of a sudden....
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

Too many home renovations per square kilometer going on at the same time. I'm predicting Arnold will send out a live broadcast this evening advising people to "call before you dig"
