    Don't get me started. This is more proof that EVERYONE hates Philly. Albert Haynesworth gets the national cover, and the mid-atlantic cover gets smudged with how the commish screw up the World Series. Tom Verducci - FUCK YOU.

    Yeah, but Mussina will still cost A LOT. Again, I don't wanna be the Yankees. Upgrading doesn't always mean going out and just filling a position with some veteran who put up nice numbers to make sure you win a championship - i.e. the Yankees.

    Mike Mussina will not accept being the 4th/5th man in a rotation.

    He doesnt have to...he'll be #2..Myers is a 3..hes no #1 or #2...we need a TRUE #2. case closed. I'm fine bringing back Moyer for another go but if I can move to bring in Mussina at a fair price I'm jumping all over it

    totally agree - the article sucked balls too. very little mention of how the Phils kicked ass with only 3 losses during the playoffs. fuck em all though - world fucking champions! (damn that sounds so damn good still)

    Myers is a legit 2 if his head's on straight. Enough Mussina jibber jabber. I'd like to see Corrasco get an opportunity early in the year.

    I'd just like to share with everyone some AWESOME things that happen to me today. First, some asshole didn't pick up their dog's shit which I unknowingly stepped in near my car and didn't know till I smelled shit in my car which was now rubbed into my floor mat. Theeeeennnn I find out the bridge I go over to and from work every day is going to be torn down - South St. bridge. This day is the best!!!! The only thing better is if they were to strip the Phils of the World Title and trade away Hamels, Utley, Howard, Shane, and Lidge.

    Maddon, Piniella win manager of year awards

    NEW YORK -- Joe Maddon has won the American League Manager of the Year after guiding the Tampa Bay Rays from baseball's basement to the World Series. Lou Piniella of the Chicago Cubs is the National League winner.

    Maddon succeeded Piniella as Tampa Bay manager in 2006. He was an easy winner Wednesday in balloting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. He received all but one of the 28 first-place votes -- the other went to Minnesota's Ron Gardenhire.

    Piniella led the NL Central champion Cubs to the league's best record and beat out Charlie Manuel of the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies to earn his third manager of the year award and first in the NL.

    2 tix, and I just put the deposit down. I'm gonna swing by the park on Saturday to figure out which ones I want for the Sunday plan. I know I could do it over the phone, but it's another reason to hang out at the park. I'm torn between directly in center field because it's easy access to Schmitter's and Ashburn Alley as well as seeing the game down the pipe like watching it on TV and a chance of getting a home run. Then there's getting like 300 or 400 level right behind home plate because you see everything real well.
