Yeah, I don't think you're going to want to work after that. Just make sure you have something cold ready for your region. I used frozen peas and carrots. They seem to do the trick w/o the melting.

It's not as bad as you would think.

I'm not sure if anything could be as bad as I think (active imagination). Anyhoo, thanks for the advice.

my husband had it done last year. tis the BEST thing! :D

we were in the same boat as you, realized that at this point that yes, we want to remain childless and especially at our current ages....i do NOT want an oops! pregnancy. it just made sense for him to go b/c it is a FAR less invasive procedure. super quick recovery time and yes...just fantastic!

Oh, I plan to. But first, I am going to wrap my whole package, schlong included, in an ace bandage, like some kind of mummy weiner for a couple of days just to get sympathy from the wife...

    spare her....:p
we women know what it's like to endure a LOT. she WILL give you sympathy no matter what, no need to play it up. besides, i am sure she will be JUST as relieved as you to not have that 'worry' anymore....and hell, that will definitely go FAR in the fun department for a good long while, believe me. ;)

I forget what the wait period is, however go back and get tested. Always a chance the procedure didn't work...and really don't you want to be 100% sure?

Trust me, it was an excellent phone call. I never thought I'd be so happy to hear I was 100% sterile.

Good luck with the operation and your recovery.

I don't know, I once burst into flames when I was just walking by a church. The flames felt strangely comforting, almost like home.

getting mine done on the 27th of this month.

It's called the "Gentle Vasectomy". Apparently just a quick puncture and the pull out the chord and "snip".

My first appointment was for this friday, but I cancelled it due to it being Friday the 13th and all.

    Just a coincidence. :)
There is something deep down in that black heart of yours if you are willing to go through this. Granted it is much less invasive for the man, but still, good for you.

You'll be fine! But just be sure to go back and make sure it took the first time....get a sperm count or something. Heard horror stories of guys who got it done, and didn't follow up and ended up getting a kid out of the situation!!!!

Real men get vasectomies! Good luck!
