that was a hold, plain and simple.
the pats got REAL lucky tonight, but the ravens helped them out BIG TIME with terrible penalties and one stupid as time out call.
i have a fucking throbbing headache from listening to those horrible, horrible, horrible announcers. please never let the pats be on monday night espn again.0 -

And Joe Gibbs calling back to back timeouts for a 15 yard penalty that probably cost his team the came.
there are idiots abound.0 -

The Ravens with Billick coaching FIND a way to fiiing lose. As Much as I love the Patriots the Ravens DEFENSE plays with HEART.
DUMP BB
Peace
C'mon, if nothing else, this game shows that this team still has a heart. If BB were so vacant, that wouldn't be so.

the ravens had at least 2-3 different times where they could have (should have?) got a 1st down and more clock would have been eaten up.
after a while it was pretty damn obvious that it was going to be mcgahee run after mcgahee run.0 -

and no brains. they completely screwed themselves with the double 15 yard penalty and the offsides. no penalties and maybe the ravens start off at the 35-40 yard line instead of the 20.
this game was all mcgahee playing for sean taylor. let's see if mcgahee has that same fire next week...which i doubt.0 -

defensive secondary holding does not occur on every single play.

and how many penalties did the pats get when they beat the colts AT indy?
oh yeah...about a dozen plus for over 140 yards.0 -

I don't agree.
On the Ravens side of it it was a players game, for sure. Billick didn't interfere, so you have to give him credit for letting his players play. Mistakes and all, it was New England in the end deciding the outcome, and you know it.

Hope they can score more than a field goal.
This should be a walk-over for the Pats.
And it will be. They need to stretch out a bit, and breathe.

i agree that the pats won, but other than that, we'll agree to disagree. it was more of rex ryan's defensive play calling more than anything that billick had to do with the game...and rex ryan was the one that called the time-out right before the ravens stopped brady on 4th and 1.
other than that, in my eyes, it was mcgahee run after mcgahee run after mcgahee run and for the first 2 1/2 quarters the pats really couldn't stop him.
and after that, boller pulled an aj feely and got greedy and gave the ball away to james sanders - he should have just delivered it to him on a silver platter because there were about 4 pats to the one covered raven on that play.0 -

Need a better pass rush though.

ESPN just verified that a timeout cannot be called by a coordinator or other team personel. It has to be called by a player on the field or the head coach. The official granted the defensive coordinator a timeout on 4th and 1 when Baltimore stopped the Pats. So the Refs did fuck this one up!!!0

I have a question, probably stupid. How come the Ravens couln't decline the false start penalty? Was the whistle blown before the play started?0

False Start penalties on the offense technically occur before the play ever happens. Therefore no play was ever run so the defense has no choice but to accept it. The same with delay of game on the offense.- Busted down the pretext
