The 3 incidents of the last few seasons show his true character. He does things would get a little leaguer a spot on the bench for bad sportsmanship, period. I've defended him to ignorant Yankee fans that thought he sucked and couldn't wait to get rid of him. He is obviously not programmed for baseball etiquitte, but I wouldn't expect Yankee fans to know anything about etiquitte anyway.
The truth is that the robotic Yankee fans loathed him until this year, and now since he kept them afloat at the beginning of the season while Jeets and Co were floundering, he is a hero. Retards. Humiliation.

and you obviously know nothing about spelling-it's "ETIQUETTE"

Yankee fans are some of the most well educated and knowledgeable people out there and there's no reason to resort to name calling, please go to the thread for the team you root for then,

And my ignorant, robotic ass has never liked A-Rod, from the moment we got him. But hitting 500 home runs, thus far cleanly until someone proves otherwise, is still an impressive moment in baseball history.

jeez a guy reaches one of baseball's historic milestones and someone can't say anything nice, especially when he didn't allegedly do what a certain san francisco giant did. whatever people's views on a-rod, 500 is still pretty damn impressive especially at his age.

  • Congrats to Alex Rodriguez for being the youngest player to ever hit 500 home runs!!! All of his accomplishments in baseball are without using steroids.. he is truely talented imo!!

forgot they had an afternoon game today.........and they better continue to play Melky everyday

When I went to see Scranton play the Bulls here a month or so ago, there was a woman in the crowd with a "Got Melky" t-shirt. :)

Rivera is back to striking out people. He hasn't had this kind of k/9 ratio in awhile.

if i had to guess, it'd have to be miguel cairo. they didn't acquire betemit to cut him and shelley duncan and andy phillips are playing well enough to stay here.

activating giambi is just not a good idea. if i was a yankee fan i wouldn't want to mess with what they've got going now.

my guess is duncan goes down since he's essentially a DH and i would guess he has options. cairo is one of those jack of all trade players that you would want to keep around just in case something happened. betemit, while he COULD play most infield positions, is really a 3rd baseman.

weird that the yanks are dfa'ing mike myers. i can't believe it took them this long. he never seems to get any lefties out.

i went to the angels-red sox game tonight in anaheim. i counted at least 9 guys with yankees gear on harassing boston fans. its like they bought tickets just so they could abuse the chowder heads.

they're definitely coming out of the wood work

bunch of yankees gear at the beastie boys show last night

although maybe that's a bad indicator since it is the beasties

it's also fun to see Red Sox fans all worried about NY

I'm a casual fan and just like to talk shit... so i couldn't care less... but if the sox win i'll be here to talk smack ;)

They will probably send Duncan down and call him back up when rosters expand on 9/1
  • Today's NY Newspaper says.....

Jason Giambi will activated and most likely Jeff Karstens or Miguel Cairo will be sent down. Though this will probably not happen today as it was expected.

Also said..Jaba Chamberlain will be brought up today!! & Brian Bruney will be sent down to AAA. Little suprised as I never heard Bruney's name in the mix. But I'll take it I guess.

& Lastely it said...Shelley Duncans roster spot is for safe and locked!!!! Yes!

We'll see how ligit this all is though.
