YOU"RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY IT LOUD!
Attn Yankee Fans: Please go to your nearest TV set or computer and watch this game! It's a hot one!

EDIT: SEE!! JINX! You and Michael Kay. He needs to be smacked. I can't believe Girardi doesn't say anything to him.

Taft where is that article from? It's very interesting.

Joba just shut em down in the 8th gave up a hit but that is it.

What's this with throwing Joba out w/no warning? Uh oh maybe he's spending too much time next to Clemens! ;)

Come on though that's bogus. Screw it, bring in Mo and let's be done w/this.

    they didn't hit him,

they both went over his head in the exact same location, two pitches in a row

I don't think he was throwing at him at on purpose but who knows?

They didn't give a warning, the ump threw him out after the 2nd pitch.

Thanks. I see the Yankees won.

This is all part of hte sissification of the game of baseball. It's funny this stuff used to police itself without the umps being assholes about it.

EDIT I just read this and i'm sure this play had a lot to do with him coming up and in on Youk.
Red Sox manager Terry Francona was ejected on a controversial double play in the seventh, as J.D. Drew grounded to third baseman Alex Rodriguez, who lunged for Youkilis but missed the tag before throwing to first base. Youkilis was initially ruled safe but exploded when ruled out. Yankees manager Joe Torre pointed out that Youkilis had run out of the baseline to avoid Rodriguez's tag, planting his feet on the infield grass.

nice going red sox. you had your rotation lined up with your top 3 starters - who, by the way, kept you in each game - and the "big, bad" offense that scores 46 on chicago flatlines on the table and can barely scrap together 10 hits the whole damn series.

all the sox had to do was win ONE game this series and they would have left NYC up 7 games, but of course, they can't do that.

don't get me wrong, i'm happy with the 5 game lead, but just another wasted opportunity. they did the same thing back in may when they had a chance to really 'bury' the yanks and they didn't then either.

i'm at work so i don't have a comment on the joba ejection...

i don't believe this. in order for jd drew to ground into a double play he would have had to actually swing the bat. zing!

yea I saw that but I don't think they'd hit him for that

He ran onto the grass to avoid the tag. The umps did reverse the call.
Youkilis did them a favor by getting thrown out, I don't see why they would throw at him for that.
