 just a guess,
but they listed dawes as of today.
maybe this spot will be the slot where it is different from a game to game basis ?
these guys are the closest thing weve got to rookies
 dawes, callahan,. girardi,
pock cant be considered as such, either can prucha
also , we know they will be juggling hollweg and ( *insert numerous names here * ) alternating spots .
 cant wait for tomorrow.
are any of you fellas going to The Today Show next FRIDAY ? Springsteen & ESB live. For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside

kaspar is playing with hutchinson on friday.
 from the bulletin:
. On Friday against the Devs, Artem Anisimov will get the call in what we expect will be Drury's usual spot between Shanahan and Avery, Brandon Dubinsky will center Straka and Callahan, Francis Lessard will take Colton Orr's spot with Hollweg and Betts, and a fourth line of hopefuls will feature veteran Mark Smith centering plugger Dane Byers and the closely watched Hugh Jessiman. On defense, the playoff pairing of Tyutin and Girardi will be reunited, Strudwick will skate with Mike Sauer, and bubble boys Kasparaitis and Hutchinson, on opposite ends of the salary cap, will pair up. Valiquette and Montoya will split time in net.
On Saturday vs. Philly, Nigel Dawes gets a huge audition along with the still-together Gomez and Jagr, Drury debuts between Hossa and Prucha, and Tommy Pyatt will center Lauri Korpikoski and Orr. With only three lines of forwards left over from the first game, we may seem some of the same forwards carry over, and that may cause changes from these projected lines, which Zipay reports were together today in practice. But if there are too few forward lines to form a complete set of four, there are too many defensemen for the usual set of three pairs. The way they practiced today: Baranka with Mara, Malik with Sanguinetti, Staal with Rozsival, and Pock with Liffiton. Chances are two will not play. In goal will be Lundqvist and Wiikman.Reading 2004

Rangers Finally Take to the Garden Ice Tonight
The Rangers completed their training camp on Thursday with team-building exercises in West Point that included a mock hijacking of their bus, moving large objects, and a paintball war (see Newsday and Blueshirts Blog). They open their pre-season tonight at the Garden, the last NHL team to do so. They will give fans a first look at their new jerseys (appropriately enough against New Jersey), and give centers Artem Anisimov and Brandon Dubinsky a major audition as their top two centers as they try to land a job in the NHL (see game preview at NYR.com and season preview at the Sports Network). Jaromir Jagr and Scott Gomez (the subject of an article in the Times today), along with Chris Drury, will play tomorrow night against the Flyers. For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside

i found it interesting that they didnt let gomez face his old team ( even tho its only preseason )
also- they showed the new scoreboard on TV- but i'm certain it didnt translate as well on TV as in person.
hopefully i'll get to see it in person soon enough .
another preseason game tonight on MSG and we finally get to see the new # 19 and 23 .

Hmm guess they upgraded the place a bit, good to see the increase in ticket prices going towards that instead of the Dolan/Thomas Legal defense fund.
Not sure if I'll make a pre-season match, but unless the Yankees play on the same night in October I'll be there opening night.
Anyone else sit in the 400's?
