Also for crying out loud people he directed BOTH Hellboy movies.

IMDB was name dropped a few times in this thread, yet no one ever looked Del Toro up to see what he has done. Silly silly people!!!

They both make films which verge on almost gothic horror. They are both primarily interested in myth and legend and fairy tales, and they both make contemporary stories containing all of these elements. They both make 'fairy tales for adults'.

I don't know you but don't you dare call me racist for comparing the artistic merits of two film directors. I was married to a half Pakistani woman for 4 years and dating her before that for 3. I am not in any way racist. I believe that to not comment on Shyamalan's lack of skill as a film director just because he is Asian, would be racist.
the fact you think that m knights films are gothic horror, shows all we need to know about your level of competence on film.

well done addressing your earlier mistake no code.

oh wait....you just chucked in another insult to already cement your position as someone who comes into discussions equipped only with little knowledge and the desire to bait people.

    well done.

Pans Labryinth is a great film. Hellboy sucks but the 2nd is supposed to be better.

I haven't seen any films from the other dude but isnt he the one who did 'the happening'? Someone told me the ending to that and it sounds diabolical!!!! Plus Mark wahlberg can't act. His idea of 'dramatic' acting is looking constipated for 2 hours.

This is turning into one of those who-can-piss-the-farthest threads.
Why can't everyone's opinion be considered and valued?
Also, I don't consider M Night's work to be gothic horror at all.
But of course, that is just me.

I don't know, I guess it gets us through the day. I'm sure we'd all prefer to be sitting cross-legged in a lotus field eating the flowers but what are you gonna do?

    Don't beat up Dunk..he can't help himself.
He is too cheap to take etiquette lessons and relies on his own idea of what is nice to say and what is not.

hehe. I don't know if I could beat up Dunk. I just found out he has a petulant zebra on his side. Petulant zebras kick twice as hard as regular ones.
