I like Tarantino, but I didn't like Reservoir Dogs. Highly overrated, especially with the Tarantinomaniacs. I think he was just trying too hard to be cool.

Chicago was such a piece of bollocks.
    I lasted probably 10 minutes.
    Awful.

Moulin Rouge is one of my faves tho.
I can understand why people wouldn't like it but I love it.
yeah i think i lasted 20 minutes watching chicago. i can't stand renee zellweger and her beady eyed compatriot gere so i'm sure that didn't help.

a friend of mine insisted i watch moulin rouge for aesthetic reasons, the costumes were really neat, i did enjoy that. the reworking of the music got on my nerves though

pyscho gets so much props, however it's my least favorite hitchcock movie

I hated Fight Club the first 2 times I saw it. Then it clicked and I loved it A LOT. I think it was a lot to do with being an angry, nihilistic 16 year-old. I became obsessed with it.

Now I don't love it quite so much that I grew out of that phase but I still think it's brilliant. The book is better though.

    Well, it does.

It's wanky bllocks, a load of old tripe, shit on a disc! The emporers new clothes.
Who ever heard of a ...shhh, a secret club where people have a fight...sshhh.

FUCK OFF ALL OF YOU :p. If Patrick Swayzee was in it instead of 'too cool for school Pitt' and 'do no wrong Norton' it would never get a mention.
    I hate it already!

C'mon Jamie, did you never, at any point in your life, feel like you never had an outlet for any aggressive tendencies? :) It's not about fighting, it's about your life ;)

Whenever I read a negative review of Fight Club, it always seems to criticise the "macho" mentality.

I don't think I've ever witnessed such blatant missing the entire point.

no, it's about guys meeting in a car park to have a fight.
Where I came from people fought like fuck, mostly on a Saturday night afer the pubs closed, they beat up each other, coppers, passers by...it was disgusting, but it was 'aggressive tendencies', as you say, finding an outlet. I don't buy that that stuff can be 'bottled' and used when and as you like.

You say potatoe, I say potato...you say cinematic visionary, I say load of fancy old bollocks.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

Yeah it kind of shocks me when that is all that people took away from it.

Some day we are going to put it on together and talk about it over the phone. I will be like the director's commentary. Tho Jamie/Jeremy might have to click in for the call to help me out.
