The Matrix is pretty good, although the sequels were tragic. As other people said though, if Keanu is actually playing a dumbass, his unique brand of deadpan works, if not, he will still seem like a dumbass. That's just not going to cut it when he's supposed to be the Chosen One.

I will have to say "No country for Old Men". It's not that I disliked it, but honestly, I thought it was the second worst Coen brother's movie (Ladykillers is #1 worst), and also not my fav Cormac McCarthy story either. The Coen's should have won an Oscar for some of their other flicks, but not this one.

how the hell does crap like that win Best Picture and Into The Wild doesnt even get nominated? and i am NOT saying that because of Ed doing the soundtrack, i really think that was the best movie of the year

Well, alot of McCarthy's stories end with the characters and the story unresolved. I just didn't like the pace of the movie, and I thought it was realy predictable. By the way, I thought There Will Be Blood was the best movie of the year.
