Pistons in 6
Wrong.smithnic wrote:Ray Allen is done. He was done before the C's got him. I never understood the big 3 logic when one of the three was Ray Allen.
I'm a huge Piston fan and think they take this in 6 as well. I think they take game one tonight. I am way too excited for the game tonight!!
Oh. Wrong again.Motown322 wrote:I think the Pistons go in and steal Game 1 tonight, and then the C's even it up on Thursday night. My call is Detroit in 6.
And again...Westernsky wrote:Detroit looks tough, and more importantly they look hungry. I can't help but think of the finals a few years ago when everyone thought the Lakers were going to handle them.
I love Kevin from way back and I'm happy to see him playing so well, but I don't think it's the Celtic's year.
Wow.. so many haters...
It's going to be 2-0 in about 12 hours. And i feel more confident about Boston winning on the road in Detroit than i did in Cleveland.-Chris

Why would I be a C's "hater" if I've lived in Michigan for every one of my 33 years and following the Pistons since 1980 (pre-Isiah, BTW)?? The whole "everyone is out to get us" attitude is getting kinda stale for the Celts fans, don't you think?
We'll see what happens tonight. And I'm still not exactly sure why it's easier to win in Detroit than in Cleveland or Atlanta... If this thing goes back to Detroit 1-1, then I'm not going to be very worried.0 -
good news: Ray Allen's slump is over. he is back to his All-star form with 25 pts on 9-16 shooting.
bad news: celtics lost. first home loss in the playoffs. they are in big trouble. they gonna need to win one in detroit.scratching my butt...

Pistons got the split in Boston... that's all I wanted to see. Now they just stole home-court advantage and the C's are going to do what they haven't done in 6 tries in the playoffs: win on the road.0

Tough loss, but Detroit played hard. Let's hope they can pick up 1 of the next 2.-Chris

You wanna tell me how I was wrong.Who ever wins the west will most likely win it all.Pistons have a much better chance than the regular season celtics0 -

"both teams played hard"
That expert analysis is brought to you by Rasheed Wallace.Go Get 'Em Tigers!0 -
are the Lakers for real? they dumped the defending champs by margin of 30 points. don't count out the spurs. remember that they were also down 2-0 against the hornets yet they won the series.scratching my butt...

Hahaha. Says the guy from fucking Detroit.
I was just pissed off because I saw too much B-Ball on TV the other night while I was having beers at a local sports bar. I just think that it's a fucking horrible sport to watch and I don't understand the appeal.1/12/1879, 4/8/1156, 2/6/1977, who gives a shit, ...0 -
the eastern conference finals is now tied at 2 games apiece. rip hamilton just ripped off the celtics with 20 points & 7 assists while antonio mcdyess diced garnett with 21 points & 16 rebounds. the celtics just sucked on the road.scratching my butt...

Yup... I'm sure the nightlife and entertainment options and job prospects are out of the stratosphere in Thunder Bay... maybe I should move.
Hopefully you watched the game tonight so you can come back and complain about basketball tomorrow.0 -
the refs were horrible in that game. from a neutral standpoint, it really seemed like they were giving all of the calls to boston. most of those fouls were bullshit. god, i hate boston. go pistons0
-
Boston was at the line a ridiculous amount of times last night... damn good thing they couldn't hit anything from the floor.0

I've been to Detroit.
The women are 1000 times better looking in Thunder Bay (as the few people who made the trek here in '05 will attest), so our nightlife is doing fine.
Entertainment options are more outdoorsy here. I have to drive to Minny if I want to see a good concert or sporting event. I'll take a camp party or house-boat party over anything that any city can offer.
I had no trouble finding a rewarding, great-paying job here. It's tough on the blue-collar front right here now though for sure.
No more complaining about basketball for now -- too busy complaining about Wings hockey.1/12/1879, 4/8/1156, 2/6/1977, who gives a shit, ...0 -

But don't you have 1000 guys fighting over the 4 of them?Songburst wrote:Entertainment options are more outdoorsy here. I have to drive to Minny if I want to see a good concert or sporting event. I'll take a camp party or house-boat party over anything that any city can offer.
I can head up north for that. I dig that sort of stuff, but I also like getting a craving for a Slurpee and being able to leave my house in any direction and hit a 7-11 in 5 minutes or less...Songburst wrote:I had no trouble finding a rewarding, great-paying job here. It's tough all over... you don't have to tell me that. And there's no sense in complaining about the Wings... I don't see them losing this year, although I'd at least like to see a couple competitive games instead of what I've seen the past two games. Now go out and enjoy the summer in Canada.0 -
I hope the Lakers win tonight. Right now it's 69-67 Lakers in the last few minutes of the 3rd quarter.11/6/95, 11/18/97, 7/13/98, 7/14/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/28/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/6/06, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 7/13/06, 7/15/06, 7/16/06, 7/18/06, 10/21/06, 4/10/08, 4/13/08, 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, 10/9/090
