Eastern Conference
1-Boston
2-Detroit
3-Orlando
4-Cleveland
5-Washington
6-Toronto
7-Philadelphia
8-Atlanta

Western Conference
1-LA Lakers
2-New Orleans
3-San Antonio
4-Utah
5-Houston
6-Phoenix
7-Dallas
8-Denver

The positions of teams for eastern conference are already confirmed unlike in the western conference which are too close to call. the lakers, hornets & spurs could end up # 1 seeds. utah & houston could end up tied recordwise as well as dallas & denver.

im hoping for Celtics vs Lakers finals once again. Bring back the rivalry fuckers. :)

I've liked the celtics all year to win it all and they sold me when they came back from 22 in san antonio and then ended houston's 22-game winning streak with a total blowout on the second night of a back-to-back.

Go Wizards.....not that I'm a Wizards fan. I'm not a real fan of any pro team, I just like Antawn Jamison and like to see him do well.

The Celtics are really hard to pass up. I'm in NJ, but not really a Nets fan, just a basketball fan. I'm thinking San Antonio is going to prove once again that they're the closest to a dynasty since back-to-back-to-back L.A.

Also, if Kobe dosen't win MVP this year, it's really just a travesty.

i want to start of by saying that it is a shame how the sixers got fucked over last night. that was complete bullshit. celts lakers would be great for the game, but i am rooting for the nuggets to pull off a first round upset (in order for this to happen, melo has to stay out of trouble, idiot). also, i want to see the wizards beat the cavs and i think they have a legit shot. they have been playing great lately. this is the most excited ive been for the playoffs in a while! all of the western conference match-ups are going to be great.

  • Being a Michigander, I'll be pulling for the Pistons of course.

I'll take either the Pistons or the Celtics to make it to the finals from the East and West I don't know, it's a little more difficult but I think it will be the Lakers, Spurs, Rockets or Suns.

These playoffs are shaping up well.

Match up all set as sun_rival had it, no change needed!

    My first round predictions:

East: All top(1-4) seed teams advance to second round.
West: All lower(5-8) seed teams advance to second.

to be continued for the second round...

    Season awards predictions:
    MVP- Chris Paul, NOH
Coach OTY- Baron Scott, NOH [*wants Rick Adelman, HOU to win]
Defensive Player OTY- Kevin Garnett, BOS
Sixth Man OTY- Manu Ginobilli, SAS
    Rookie OTY- Kevin Durant, SEA
    Most Improved- Rajon Rondo, BOS

    for me it's:
Kobe Bryant for MVP (not a bryant fan nor a kobe hater. i think the guy is deserving to be the mvp this year. Chris paul has a lot of mvp years ahead of him)
    Hedo Turkoglu for MIP

Well, if Mamba wins, my only redemption is for the Nuggets to upset the Fakers in the first round, which I predicted!

Actually, Garnett is more deserving for making Boston the #1 defensive team from being one of the worst last season. Boston, 66-16, +41 from last season.

The voters won't vote for him because they'll say he has too much help.

if you were a network executive, what game would you think gets the better audience. carmelo anthony and iverson vs. kobe bryant and the lakers or the hawks, who were under .500 against the celtics.

so far the celtics are doing pretty much what I thought but I'd be hard pressed to see the nuggets making this a lengthy series based on the defense or lack of it that i've seen in the first game and a half so far.

A player that asks to be traded from his team should not be considered that Valuable.

I am a celtics fan but Have been a KG fan for many years
I think KG or Paul should get MVP
