are the Lakers for real? they dumped the defending champs by margin of 30 points. don't count out the spurs. remember that they were also down 2-0 against the hornets yet they won the series.

Why would you come into a thread and post dumb shit like that? Is there really that little to do up there in Thunder Bay? Christ...

Hahaha. Says the guy from fucking Detroit.

I was just pissed off because I saw too much B-Ball on TV the other night while I was having beers at a local sports bar. I just think that it's a fucking horrible sport to watch and I don't understand the appeal.

the eastern conference finals is now tied at 2 games apiece. rip hamilton just ripped off the celtics with 20 points & 7 assists while antonio mcdyess diced garnett with 21 points & 16 rebounds. the celtics just sucked on the road.

Yup... I'm sure the nightlife and entertainment options and job prospects are out of the stratosphere in Thunder Bay... maybe I should move.

Hopefully you watched the game tonight so you can come back and complain about basketball tomorrow. :D

the refs were horrible in that game. from a neutral standpoint, it really seemed like they were giving all of the calls to boston. most of those fouls were bullshit. god, i hate boston. go pistons

Boston was at the line a ridiculous amount of times last night... damn good thing they couldn't hit anything from the floor.

    I've been to Detroit.

The women are 1000 times better looking in Thunder Bay (as the few people who made the trek here in '05 will attest), so our nightlife is doing fine.

Entertainment options are more outdoorsy here. I have to drive to Minny if I want to see a good concert or sporting event. I'll take a camp party or house-boat party over anything that any city can offer.

I had no trouble finding a rewarding, great-paying job here. It's tough on the blue-collar front right here now though for sure.

No more complaining about basketball for now -- too busy complaining about Wings hockey.

But don't you have 1000 guys fighting over the 4 of them? :D

I can head up north for that. I dig that sort of stuff, but I also like getting a craving for a Slurpee and being able to leave my house in any direction and hit a 7-11 in 5 minutes or less...

It's tough all over... you don't have to tell me that. And there's no sense in complaining about the Wings... I don't see them losing this year, although I'd at least like to see a couple competitive games instead of what I've seen the past two games. Now go out and enjoy the summer in Canada. :)

Haha. All of our 7-11s were recently sold to Macs. Alas, our Slurpees are now Frostees.

As for our summer, it snowed yesterday and was 70 degrees here this afternoon. Thank the gods that I have been working an unhealthy amount of hours and complaining about basketball and boring Wings games on message boards while sneaking a drink in this week.

I'm not one much for conspiracy theories, but when the league says they fucked up, then maybe they fucked up.

I saw The replay last night. They did Fuck it up.
It drives me crazy when they make bad calls like that. Its a playoff game and an important one at that. They can cost a team the championship with bad calls like that.

not gonna lie, I had the feeling I had when I was watching the Super Bowl just a few months ago.

Yes, Allen was superb, along with Perkins and Garnett. Pierce was defended well by Hamilton.

BTW, what's the news on Rip's elbow? ;)

I had the same feeling!!! we were up by what.. 17? I kept saying to everyone "its not over" its never over!!!

If Allen had played that well during the other series, they would not have gone to 7. We need him to keep it up. We need the Big 3 to be the big 3 during every game.

Pierce was defended well but he played great D

Not sure about the elbow or the eye ;)

I hope we take the next one in Detroit!

The eye and elbow incident seemed a bit over exaggeration though, didn't it?
The contacts were there but wasn't too malice of plays.

They also missed the call right before that, where they didn't reset the 24 second clock for the Lakers. That would have ended the game too. It all comes out in the wash, and they never make these calls at the end of a playoff game. Never happens. They don't want these games decided by free-throws with no time on the clock.
