    Aaron must be raised by Claire on the island. I guess that means if Claire's off the island, she in no way should raise Aaron. Maybe when she gets off the island she sees the psychic again and giving Aaron to Kate is the most feasible thing to do... that makes utterly no sense.

    Didn't the psychic tell Claire that Aaron MUST be raised by her? If he was "raised by another" he would be surrounded by evil??! (Ok, I'm paraphrasing at best, but wasn't that the jist of it?)

    Something like that, that is right.

    Maybe Jack doesn't want to be around Aaron because he was a n ugly baby too, and he is afraid that if he and Kate reproduce, they'll be more ugly babies running around.. Anyone else have this theory?

    I guess that's why everyone eventually wants to go back to the island in the future, because everything is going all to hell. But Kate is unwilling to give Aaron up or something. But yeah, clearly all is not well with Kate raising Aaron.

    He was pretty young, anything he might be able to say probably wouldn't hold up.

    This is a good point. I thought it was Locke in the coffin, but I don't think Locke would leave the island under any circumstance. It's official: I no longer think it is Locke in the casket.

    Yep, that's what I got. A jury is always more sympathetic when a child of the accused is in the court - especially if it is an infant.

    I still think the reason Kate didn't want Aaron there is because Jack wouldn't have testified if he was there.

    True, but an attorney always tries to make the best case for their client whether they believe it or not themselves. So in the attorney's mind with no Aaron getting Kate sympathy and Kate's own mom ready to testify against her, he needed a witness that could best bring out the best of Kate's character - even through lies.

    So Kate may well have not known Jack was going to testify, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have if he knew Aaron was there.
