Why did Benry have to chech and be sure it was 2005 at the hotel in Tunisia?(another time travel issue related to the island)
Is Desmond gonna end up killing Benry to save Penny?
Why can't Benry kill Widmore...assume its like Michael can't kill himself?
Why do they kill off the hot chicks (Alex), are the writers all gay men?

similar to the time issue, how did benry get dropped in the middle of the sahara desert?

I kind of took it as something out of a mafia movie - like no matter how morally despicable mobsters may seem to the regular world - they always observe a code among themselves. In the Godfather for example, Michael was not a part of the "family" originally - he was an "innocent" so he was off limits.
So in this way, the game is a battle of wills between Benry and Charles and each uses all the resources they have at their disposal, but once someone crosses the rules - it changes the game forever. Ben doesn't want to kill Charles until he feels the pain he felt over losing Alex.
The other thing I took from that scene is that since it took place in the future, that somehow all other advances by Widmore onto the island fail because he is still searching for the Island in 2005.

Do you think we'll ever get a Rousseau flashback now that she is officially dead?
There is still so much about her we really don't know for her to be off the show permanently.
Also do you think we'll get a flashback at some point of Sayid and Nadia reuniting?
I'm really sorry that Rousseau is dead. I have wanted to know her back story since we first met her. She was such an interesting character. I was really upset when Alex got shot in the head. It was a shock. I was NOT expecting that.
I'm so glad that Sawyer is turning out to be the hero. He went to save Claire. He was worried about Hugo. What a guy! I'm just trying to figure out how he and Claire got stuck on the island (assuming they are not dead). We now know that Henry did not get off the island with the Oceanic Six because Sayid asked him how he got off the island.

I agree. Great episode! The only weak part for me and I understand why they did it was the whole Sawyer running with the gun thing and the killing of the three red shirts.
You would think that the special teams force would have shot the guy with the gun first instead of the three unarmed people. I understand trying to depict Sawyer as taking more of a heroic turn of events, but that was just not all that believable in my opinion.

I agree...generally, I love Ben's character, and it was awesome to see someone finally call him without giving him any wiggle room to talk his way out of it. I also love how he manages to manipulate Sayid into murdering Ishamel (or whatever his name was, I'm spacing) anyone think that he was just a foil placed by Ben to gain Sayid's employment? Things like grainy black and white traffic pictures are easy things to counterfeit
