    why should he get charged with assault for, being suspended for the season and playoffs and costing your team the game is enough punishment as it is. this isnt bertuzzi or mcsorley were talking here. i wonder if avery did this would u still be this upset

    why??? using a weapon to inflict harm

    same as if i hit someone in the street with a piece of wood in the face or whatnot

    that simple fact cannot go unaccounted for because its a pro nhl game



    and yes i would be upset if it was anyone

    not only is it a horrible thing it tarnishes the game we love

    we disagree with charging it for him so lets just end this.and yes it most certianly does make the game we love look bad, but like other times this has happened people forget bout them.

    the NHL dodged a bullet on this one- for sure.

    what if Holly was injured seriously, ? Mamed , or even worse ? :confused:

    they'd be calling for the heads of all the officials, the NHL executives, and while we are at it, the dolans ( ? ) OK- that last one is a reach- but you fellas get the drift.

    Bet you if this was Crosby Simon would never play again...being a lesser known personality the NHL will take their sweet ass time as usual and finally make the wrong decision at the end of the day.....

    im still iffy bout a hearing to, i mean does part of me say this needs to go to court just cause it was so dirty YES. but a part of me also says we dont neeed a hearing cause this is nothing new in this great sport that we all love. i think we all can put our love and hate for teams aside and say this isnt good for the game at all, espically after the lockout and the poor ratings as it is.

    they are saying that the Nassau Cty District Attorney seems to be ceasing the moment for her 15 minutes of fame ( outside of Nass Cty ) and she is thinking about investigating the incident , and reportedly wants to see the stick . :confused:

    apparently the Isles just released ( or are about to release ) a statement saying Simon has just been diagnosed with a concussion ( from Hollwegs hit ) , so now we can see what the defense will be based on :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

    oh well.

    thats too bad, i kinda feel like just let it go already- but it is very serious & / could have been alot worse - thankfully for everyone - including the sport of hockey itself , nothing fatal happened- this time. :eek:


    penguins tom in a sat afternoon matinee. Boy these things are just horrible.
    hockeys not the same with the sun out . :cool: :cool:

    hopefully this game we can get the little extra needed- that little something that was m,issing the prior games with pitts- a few tight 1 goal games there,.. we need to get some points back off these penguins- i think we can get to fleury if we coiuld get some shots on him,....

    and a caller made a good point about how sharp the sticks can be especially the blade,, could have slit an artery if it was abit lower

    not to mention crushing the trachea(sp)

    im done with him he deserves this year and at least half of next

    this is the 6th or 7th time he has been up for a suspension
    enough is enough,,get this bum out b4 he does do major damage
