Pretty sure his character is played by Fisher Stevens. I saw his name in the credits on the replay of last weeks episode, and then when you hear Jack talking to him on the walkie you can definitely tell its his voice. I kind of want him to be Ben's spy, or Michael would be cool. But it sure as shit better not be Mikhail! That fucking guy always pops up somewhere after you think he's dead.

When they first showed Miles go to the house and up to that kid's room, I thought he was going to vacuum something, so my wife said he must be a ghost buster jokingly. Turned out to be pretty dead on. BUT, anyone else notice the picture of the boy who died on the wall? I swear its a dead ringer for Eko as a boy. HD Screencap anyone? :)

Here's the screencap of the pics on the wall and in the lower right is young Eko:

I agree with the consensus that the man on the boat is Michael, but that would be too simple in Lost terms.

I found this theory on Lostpedia interesting:

"Ben's man on the boat is Kelvin. The Others found Kelvin, who was not dead, on the rocks after his altercation with Desmond. Kelvin then began to work for Ben. Kelvin being the man on the boat would explain why Naomi knew about Desmond and had his photo, as the boat is not Penny's. Kelvin might be feeding the people on the boat information about the island to gain their trust so he can provide Ben with the best information. It is also plausible to assume that a man with Kelvin's military experience would be recruited by Ben or apply for such a reconnaissance mission as is being conducted by the people on the freighter. It's also possible that Kelvin was working with the Others prior to Desmond's shipwreck as it appears no Dharma members survived the purge and the only other person on the island to claim they were Dharma, Mikhail, was lying."

i dont think its too simple... i think it would be too simple if he were being "forced" by ben to do his bidding in exchange for his freedom.. but if they switched it up which they always do and had michael transformed to something else.. i think that would kinda be bad ass..

if it were kelvin.. well that would be kinda lame.. i dunno.

the other question i had.. why did they throw Daniel off the helicopter? yes he seems very nervous about this operation.. but did they just throw him cause they thought they were gonna crash.. or just to show his hesitation? what?

Thanks. At least I wasn't the only one to think that. Just figured with this show, nothing shown is a coincedence, so as soon as I saw them focus on the pictures on the wall that was the first thing that came to mind.

It could be that they thought Daniel wasn't going to jump on his own and that they really thought the helicopter was going to go down.

Sort of like in tv sitcoms like in Saved By the Bell and Cheers where the pilot pretends he's out of fuel and makes the scared passengers jump. Well, in this case they didn't have time to make him jump so they just threw him out. Just a guess.

I don't think it would make much sense having Michael be the spy. I think they will want to concentrate more on what happened to Michael and Walt from when they left the dock on the boat, and if/when they got back to civilization. Seems to many story arcs if they have Michael end up on the freighter. Kelvin would be odd too since most of us assume he's dead.....but its still better than it being Mikhail! That fucker was electrocuted, harpooned, and blown up by his own grenade. Might as well fucking have it be Charlie! ;)

now that's an idea i can get behind. :)
i agree that i'm not a fan of the idea of kelvin coming back...i don't think he was important enough to resurrect. and patchy...yeah, i hope we've seen the last of him.

Couldn't be Patchy, cause he's been on the island and blowing up Charlie's porthole, so he couldn't be on the freighter at the same time....or could he?

Michael is probably on the boat, but I don't think he is working with Ben. Remember when Ben said he could go, Michael really looked surprised and relieved.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned, but seems like it is spot on, not sure what it means though:

"I am utterly convinced Charlotte Staples Lewis has been to the Island before. Maybe it was her giggly delight as she splashed about in the Island's inland waters. True, the would-be freighter savior (or devil) could have been celebrating the mere fact that she had survived her harrowing arrival. But there was something more to her reaction — something that reminded me of another fantastical tale about an enchanted homecoming. The book is Prince Caspian, by C.S. Lewis, the sequel to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The story starts with a chapter called ''The Island,'' in which the Pevensie kids return to Narnia via a mysterious island marked by ancient ruins and odd creatures. First thing they do: play in the water. Maybe I'm just fishing again. But if you think I'm wrong, then you owe me a better explanation why Charlotte Staples Lewis has been assigned a name so conspicuously similar to the author's unfurled handle, Clive Staples Lewis."

Pretty sure his character is played by Fisher Stevens.

Here is more confirmation that Fisher Stevens is the guy on the radio. Beware at the end is the listing of who's flashbacks/forwards are upcoming.

I do enjoy reading this rundown after seeing the episode.

I thought that was a very strange reaction also. There has to be more to it because that is not a natural reaction even if you are happy about surviving the jump/push from the helicopter and the fall to the water. She seemed happy to be there!

Also, just to make sure my presumptions are not too off track..... Did the chopper people jump or get pushed out because they thought the chopper was going to crash? After all, Lapidus managed to land the chopper.

I think she knows about the island and some of what it entails. And her excitement is a result of that. She wants to study the island and figure out what its all about.... kinda like the people who got to check out Jurassic Park before it opened :D

That made me laugh outloud because Lost and Jurassic Park are filmed for the most part in the same location. I can't wait to get back there in May. I can feel the island calling me back. ;)
