"practicing" - everybody screws up, even Christians...who would have thought?

i don't like people who claim to be something then they're not.

i'm talking about someone who is truly following their faith.

while a Christian, old george did what he thought was in the best interest of america. i'd rather him stop taking crap off of the assheads, than what clinton did. world trade 1, the cole, blackhawlk down (i can spell it, too lazy to look it up) all attacks against america, didn't do squat...looked like a bunch of pantywaists. it gave them hope they could take us down.

uncle leo - well, that's what the bible says...take it up with God

catefrances - i agree with yr last comment "never vote for etc" but anyone running HAS to tell all. they grill them until they are dirt, ask every question under the sun. thanks for helping with the quote thing, uummm, as you can see i don't quite get it yet!

he prefers what he prefers, what's the problem?

Yes, nothing like those good 'ole Christian principles!

    Christian principle #1:

Slaughter Native Americans off the continent. Genocide is a tried and true option, utilized by human beings of all religions, all over the planet and through out the history of human beings. Native Americans don't seem to be as accepting and subservient of our Christian principles, as we had hoped. Besides, they smell funny.

    hahahahhaahahha....

well, i'm pretty sure the bible said to kill all the indians, didn't it?

jeeze, Christ taught what was right and good. we screw it up.

you can label a whole people such as "Christians" as never living out their faith, right?

but if i were to label a whole group such as "blacks" "spics" etc, as anything that cover an entire group, you would bust a gut!

    the mirror is yr friend

I'm not a big fan of Clinton, but I hate when the example of the WTC bombings of '93 are brought up as him not doing anything.

Ten militant Islamist conspirators, including Ramzi Yousef (who was widely considered the real mastermind), were convicted for their part in the bombing and were given prison sentences of a maximum of 240 years each.

No one knew the size and organization of Al Qaeda or other terrorists organizations then, and we didn't have success in going up the food chain to bigger fish. Bush did the right thing in going into Afghanistan, but Iraq was a whole other clusterfuck that had nothing to do with 9/11 or global terrorism.

The USS Cole happened a month before his successor was elected. After all his fuckups, he didn't even have enough political clout for his VP to use campaigning, do you think he could have gotten away with attacking another country?

What did it have to do with the first gulf war? That war was about the invasion of Kuwait.... we attacked Iraq, and they left Kuwait... all done. What else was there to do, it was finished?

yeah, he went too far with the money and oil nonsense, but i'd like to see you answer his first question. what's the connection between iraq and 9/11? where are the wmd's?

i don't think religious affiliation should be part of any political decision.

McCain is seeking that 29% that still support Bush. They are tenacious and cling onto things, regardless of what truths are revealed. If you can capture that 29%... all you have to do is win 22% of the rest of the field.
Just say you intend to usher in the Biblical Prophecy by leveling the Temple Of The Rock in Jeruselem, so the goddamn Jews will get busy rebuilding their Temple and you've got a lock on the Bush "We're Going To Heaven" crowd.
    ..
Just don't freak out the other 22% you need to get... i would suggest killing illegal immigrants at the border and/or abolishing abortion... that should get you the percentage you will need.

eh, the news stations wil run with those and you might get some blowback. i'd pick revamping the department of education to ensure noone hears the word evolution again and the bible is the only standard science text from here on out. nobody knows or cares what's going on in schools anymore anyway.

Yeah... screw the schools... no one gives a shit about education... Biblical Prophecy, getting Jesus to bring His ass back down here to save us already... that's the ticket to the 29%... toss in the return of prayer in schools and Ten Commandments in Courthouses and all that crap.
Get the 11% of the people who want to errect the 110 foot high electrified fence with Machine Gun Towers and vicious guard dogs on tethers... and 11% of the ones who support the guy who kills an abortion doctor with a sniper's rifle in 'God's War Against Murderers of Babies' and **BANG**... 51% without ever mentioning that pesky thing going on over there in Iraq.

  • I don't see anything wrong with what McCain said. He was asked a question and he gave an answer.

If we want a truly liberal (in the classical sense) society with a plurality of thought and debate then don't get cheesed when you hear an opinion and imply they are "crazy" or "radical."
