Why is that surprising?0 -

I didn't prove you 'wrong'.
I gave you the information the media deliberately witheld from you.
Hopefuly more people are willing to do their own research on things like this.
If you hear something defamatory, and war-mongering coming from the US Government OR the US Media, LOOK IN TO IT.If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

This video we can get within 24 hours of the alleged incident.
But we can't get a clear video of the plane hitting the Penatgon, from back in 2001.
Yeah but...all those (several) camera's weren't working...even across the street in a few locations as well.
Must have been one of those spontaneous magnetic disturbance solar flare's disguised as secret agents.

Did anyone hear the audio from these tapes (of the Iranian speed boats)? I swear it sounded like some jackass sailor from Tennessee making a crank call or something. Something is fishy about this. Not to say it couldn't have happened, but I have my doubts.0

But... that's part of the problem. What if they were Americans in boats flying the Iranian flag? If you hold up the U.S.S. Cole attack as evidence... why didn't our ships at least send warning shots in the direction of these boats?
That is the damage the Bush/Cheney/Rove bullshitting machine has done to us. We don't know what to believe anymore.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

people need to ask themselves just one question:
why would iran want to provoke the US into attacking them?? ... what purpose would that serve?
the only people that want war with iran are those people that will profit from that war ... your defence contractors and "engineering" companies ...0 -

It used to be overwhelming credibility. Bush's administration has narrowed the gap. Yeah, we're more credible than Iran... but, that's not saying much these days. It's sort of like saying bullshit is more reliable than lies.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

By ROBERT BURNS, AP Military Writer

WASHINGTON - The Persian Gulf confrontation between U.S. and Iranian forces ended without a shot being fired. But it handed the Bush administration new ammunition in its battle to convince allies that the Tehran government is a threat even without nuclear weapons.
From the point of view of President Bush, who opened a Middle East trip Wednesday with Iran high on the agenda, the episode in the Gulf underscored his assertion that the Iranians are capable of acting recklessly. The unspoken implication: Who knows what they might do if they got nuclear weapons?
Bush stressed his concern at a news conference in Jerusalem when a reporter asked what action the United States would take if Iranian naval boats again swarmed a U.S. warship in international waters and threatened to blow it up. The president accused Iran of a "dangerous gesture" and added, "there will be serious consequences if they attack our ships, pure and simple."
Bush said "all options are on the table to secure our assets." Iran continues to be a "threat to world peace," he said.0 -
PEPPER wrote:Sure, I have no problem with questioning things but some things have to be taken for what they are worth before pointing the finger....if one year from now it is determined VP Cheney was jet skiing out on the water and was yelling at a bunch of Navy boys "I am coming for you" then yeah, I am all for a revolution but so far it seems that a country that hates America is fucking around with our soldiers during a time of war I think all needed measures should be taken...they were not which once again shows Americas weakness.....OK now you ask why this is brought up.
One of the reasons Bin Laden attacked America on 9/11 is that we showed weakness in Mogadishu (rent Black Hawk Down). Osama saw that once times get tough America will turn and run (thanks Bill)....on 9/11 he attacked the US expecting us to curl up in a ball and fold, this didn't happened now he is running, waiting for the next person to take over and pull everyone out...I could go on forever with this but I am tired and just do not feel like debating.
....so instead I will say that Rise (demo) from Into the Wild fucking rocks
Then, you know what? Run the video tape... transmit the warnings... go to battle stations... fire the warning shots. Those are standard procedures. Our Coast Guard will do those same things off our coast if anyone takes aggressive courses towards them. If the operators of those surface craft fail to submit to live fire warning shots over their bows... they risk getting fired upon.
IF those were hostile craft in open waters with a long history of hostile acts... and they ignore warning shots. They deserve to be sunk.
...
The thing is... Bush's camp is trying to spin this thing as hostile acts that, therefore, require military action. Not the case. These are open waters and international laws are in place. Basically, if you fail to change your course after having warning shots fired across your bow... you are asking to to be sunk.
If this happens again... start the video... transmit the warnings... sound the alarms... fire the warning shots. Quit trying to spin it into war. Simple.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!
