Norway alone (a population of 4 million people) gave 3,600,000,00 billion dollars in 2003 to developing countries. We took in a higher percentage of immigrants than the U.S. We still don't consider ourselves for heroes. There is a lot of work that has to be done. I really think we should spend more.. cause people are still dying.
Are you telling me that the U.S. have given millions the opportunity to live out their hopes and dreams? The Mexicans that you consider "illegal aliens" or the Europeans that have good resources back home?
Who are the millions? A lot of people that are coming to U.S. are immigrants. They got to live somewhere. U.S. is coincidently one of the places. Did you know that Sweden take more immigrants from the middle east per year than the U.S.? Sweden is a 100 times smaller country than USA.
What happens to these immigrants? Are they really living their dream?
Anyway I guess it's hard to do something about unless you change a gigantic mass of people and discussing it here won't help it either. And yet again, I know I sound harsh and brutal in my comments but that's only because I feel something is wrong, and we got do something about it.It's okay, It's okay

I love you anyway

I like a lot of things about Norway and I definitely like the way Norway's goverment does things (policies, laws, environmental...etc).
Without a doubt our country has many social and political issues. Our goverment has been fucked up for a long time. Of that there is no doubt.
But you said it yourself, this is a country with more than 300 million people.
You can't compare a country of 4 million people to one with 300 million. You are not making a fair comparison.
More people, more problems.
There are a lot of people in this country who have been working and continue to work extremely hard to make changes for the better. But it is a difficult endeavor. Our government is infested with corporate and political corruption and has been for a very long time.
Your generalization of Americans is laughable. As is your insistance that America accomplishes nothing but bad/negative things.
The truth is, much of America's policies, actions and activities are often agreed upon by participants who are political and corporate leaders from foreign countries. Furthermore, every country on this planet practices brainwashing and influence upon their own countries population. What other countries around the world get from their media and political/government figureheads; is just as often twisted, slanted and delivered for the purpose of their own agenda.
Make no mistake, your country.......the UK .....France.......Germany......Italy.....etc; they all have their fair share of ignorant and brainwashed citizens; as you have clearly illustrated for us here, today.0 -
just keep buying our shit and watching our movies and giving us money like good little vassal states. i appreciate it.0

Kudos on a great post. Living overseas I have to hear the broad generalizations from everyone and it gets very annoying. I would never defend much of the US'S actions, but the ignorant attitude of what the average American like is widespread.0 -

If the average European ever watches Sky News it is really not that difficult to understand where many of the stereo types about Americans get started.
In many cases stereotypes start from things that are based in fact. Such as the people of US being so bad at Geography or the many people who still think that Sadam Hussein was behind the 911 attacks or know more about Brittney’s mole on her butt then who the members of their local school boards are.I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

We've become a war mongering militaristic country always in search of or creating a war when needed. This country wants a New Order and also wants to be at the top of that New Order even if it causes several million lives.

Yeah. Thank God for dentists and their big fucking baseball bat sized needles. I never thought I'd hear myself say such a thing, but compared to the mind/body fuck I went through for two weeks I'll accept any bastard jabbing my gob with a Cleopatra's needle sized needle if it means getting rid of the pain
Anyway...back to topic!

I love these replies. But if the UN wants the U.S. to do something then half of these dolts replying here have a shitfit. Hypocrites.0

Joseph McCarthy would have loved you. As would have Stalin or Hitler. In fact, your skewered, one-eyed view of the world would have fitted in well with any of the fantasies of these myopic idiots.
You seriously think that because I despise the American neo-cons and the Bush Administration means I qualify as an 'America hater'?
