I'm a bit baffled at your attitude towards this Brokeback Mountain movie.
I watched Lord Of The Rings and I'm certainly not a Hobbit, lol.
I have watched several Japanese and Chinese movies (with subtitles) and I'm not either of those.
I often watch Amistad and I'm not Black, a former Slave owner or a Slave.
Should I only watch Toy Story if I'm a toy?:D
I'm open-minded that way.
Why are you so threatened by a movie which deals with a male homosexual relationship? Do homosexuals scare you or something?
Oh well. I'm off to watch a movie about two homosexual women and their rather tragic relationship. If that makes me a lesbian, then so be it:D
But first I'll make sure to go out and hump a female, just so my sexualitiy is not in question and to prove my penis does in fact love females; for RolandTD20Kdrummer' s sake:D:D
hell yeah bro, i'd like to see what the homophobe has to say back to that.

Going to see Brokeback is like renting gay porn...why would you if you're straight? Morbid fascination I suppose...or your woman dragged you to it...
I just have to ad to NmyTree's response lol.
Should i only watch 'Passion of the Christ' if I'm Christian???
btw, that movie was powerful

Depends what you term entertainment. I don;t have to be a toy to like watching toys...etc... but I don't like watching gay men interact on a deep emotional level. I can't associate with it. It doesn't stimulate or trigger what I consider enjoyment.
Same thing as I would never watch another animal cruelty video...but I love pets...just not in the manner presented.
I actually walked out of the theater when the movie Biloxi Blues turned into a gay thing. It's just doesn't work for me in my head. I also don't enjoy c-span, and instruction videos on mundane operational procedures either.
I not homophobic...I've been to a few gay bars downtown voluntarily. My GF used to get me to watch queer as folk, and I did. But ultimately it was out of morbid fascination. The emotional aspect thing is a complete disconnect for me and I get bored extremely easy.
To each their own...I know what I'm going to be in for with BBM just from the trailers... It's just not my thing.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

Here's something that should scare the crap out of you, RolandTD20Kdrummer.
I have kissed a gay man, several times, on the cheek, when it's his birthday. He's my good friend. Shockingly his penis never touched me:D:D and I have never burned to ash......yet.
Sorry dude, but when you walk out of " Boloxi Blues because it turned into a gay thing "; you're a homophobe.
" I don't like watching gay men interact on a deep emotional level. I can't associate with it. It doesn't stimulate or trigger what I consider enjoyment."
Does it make you angry? Nervous?
What happens if you see two lesbian women interact on a deep emotional level? Same reaction as with homosexual men? Or do you find that more pleasing and something you can associate with?
Really, you are displaying some deep emotional distrubances regarding homosexuality.0 -

Eventually, I heard enough about how good it was that I decided to rent it, and I'm glad I did. It really was a very well-made movie, I enjoyed it a lot. I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't homophobic.
I thinking of renting, 'Debbie Converts Brokeback Mountain'... I heard it got 4 and 1/2 erect penis-ess-essAllen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I'll take this one,
----
If I see two women "interacting" on a deep emotional level, the first thing that comes to mind is "thats cool", but the same goes if I see two attarctive women fighting(who are not lesbians), I always think that in some way they'll still end up making out by the end of the fight. even if they are straight.
But maybe that's all another topic. haha, just kinda joking with the post.

I think the parents are right to be upset that the kids were shown this movie w/o consent, but suing for $400K is a bit extreme. I'll yank my kids out of school as soon as they start showing Al Gore's global warming documentary. Teachers shouldn't be forcing their opinions on students, just the facts.I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.0

this thread is at times amusing,at other times worrying. It's an adult based story, so they shouldn't have watched it-hell, I was slightly concerned when my 11 year old watched Dumb and Dumber on the school Christmas break up day. Simply because I felt it may have been too 'old' for her in places. But please don't get out the big gay stick to beat us with, that's a little wearing these days. To be honest, I never saw it-not interested to see it, no probs with gays, no deep issues, just not interested in gay men, cowboy hats or not! The teach was wrong, but the parents are trying it on -and shame on them, may they fail miserably in their attempt to extort money out of your system.love to all, JUKI came, I saw, I concurred.....0

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I love gay people so I want to watch it.

nope you're wrong.... my brain is wired hetero.... it's quite simple really. Just like it is for gay people apparently. And I have full rights to not be called homophobic for that. Regardless of how much you like kissing other men and thinking about their penises touching you...:p lol
I don't react to it all really, other than to think wow this is stupid, and how & why? I like women so that argument on lesbianism is moot. I like food...I like more of some food if it's good. The food I do not like like does not please me to have more of it. Quite simple...nothing more....nothing less.
It has nothing to do with prejudice... I don't like punk rock music....what does that mean?
I just find it interesting how quick the gays and gay activists are so quick to cry out homophobe to those that differ.... like it's a crime to not be gay...

I try being gay, but it's not working.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0

LOL!:D:D
If you remember correctly and you go back and check the chronological order of the discussion in this thread. You will recall that you were the one who directed the subject matter in this direction.
It was your implying that no male could possibily enjoy watching Brokeback Mountain, unless it was a result of "Morbid Fascination".......or if one's girlfriend "forced him" to watch it; otherwise one would have to be a homosexual male to watch this movie and enjoy it/apprreciate it.
Certainly, that was what you were implying. Which of course is a very narrow-minded attempt to stereotype everyone into a nice, neat little package that fits well into the way you precieve things. Your homophobic perception and your perception, only.
Certainly no one could possibily think and feel any other way, than the way you think and percieve:rolleyes: ......without being .....gay.
Hilariously, you're now evoking the "right to be hetrosexual" and acting like your right to be hetrosexual is being compromised. LOL!
Me thinks you do protest too much.0
