As soon as Jon Stewart (yeah I decided if it was bad news I'd rather have a fun perspective of them) said that Obama had won, I felt relieved, cause I seriously think if McCain had been the next president, I would have definitely lost any hope in that country. But there's so much energy now, and everyone I talk to feels the same way here, it's more about Americans and their choice and will to change than about Obama being such a great option.

so again, won't get tired of saying this: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Agreed, had McCain won, I sadly would have had to say the country I live in is the stupidest nation on the planet. Thankfully I don't have to say that, change is here!!!

what in the FUCK is this nation thinking voting for a person like Barack Obama, who has had such questionable associations with America-hating churches and comes from a Muslim background, etc. I just can't believe what a blind move we have made. This man has proven nothing concerning how he can protect us when we are attacked by terrorists again, which we will be. he has NO experience. like it or not, we are still at war, for those of you who have forgotten. I wasn't nuts about McCain either, but we at least needed someone who could get us through the war instead of someone who is just going to pull us out of it. the rest of the world has got to be laughing their asses off at us right now.

we beat ignorance, biggotry, fear, and hatred, while also electing an intelligent, even mannered person with strong judgement skills who will surround himself with strong individuals, no yes people, and if smart, will govern from the left middle.

We did an amazing thing tonight, and to have given into the spin and fear would have been another huge failure in a string of failures.

Yes we can do whatever the question asked to do...obviously.

Sour grapes, goo. Paraphrasing McCain: It's now time to come together and give an earnest effort to make the U.S. a better place.

yeah, if you're the kind of person who likes a handout. you still don't realize this whole thing isn't going to "bring together" America, just continuously divide us. and yes, I can imagine it happening even if McCain had won, but in a different way. everyone with a brain knows damn well that since a man of color was involved in this race, that added a whole new dimension to it. if he lost, the black population would cry all their "unfair" rants, etc. and now that he has won, don't expect them to humbly accept the victory. don't accuse me of attemtping to turn this into a black issue, hell that's not even my job to do. it's been an issue since the beginning of this race. I've read all about those black panther fucks intimidating people at the polls, and you think skinheads are non-existent? all I can say is that Obama better have him a pretty good-sized entourage put together. he's gonna need all the protection he can get, sad to say. but that is besides the point. the people who continue to sit on their asses and not work in this country will continue to draw checks from people like me and I'm sure many of you on this board who try to make an honest living and not have almost half of it taken away. if you thought it was bad before, you have no idea what's coming. how is the working-class not freaking out about this? but hey, obviously there is nothing I can say to convince you otherwise, and there is nothing you can say to convince me otherwise. let's all just sit back and watch what happens. it's gonna be a freakshow, at OUR expense.

We have went from one extreme to another.....great job. I guess we can have anything in the middle? So now after 8 years of the far right, we will get 4 to 8 years of the far left, and nothing to show for it in the end. What pisses me off more then anything is the extreme imbalance of power in the Senate and the House. Does anyone think giving any party this much control is a good idea?

Pack your bags and move to utopia my friend, cause you're not gonna find anything better than what you just got, and that, considering America's (and the entire world's) standards, is the closest to utopia you can get.

In a time of war at that...maybe he should move to Iran if he hates his country so much. etc. So many fucktarded things to throw back in the right-wing's face that I don't know where to begin. So I'll just let it be.

Its scary, but its still the best place to live.

Now when can I start blaming Obama for all of our troubles? Is there a time line for that? I mean America has scape goated every President its ever had, this won't be any different. Hes got a large task at hand here, and a lot of big promises to keep, he can't let this country down. I give it 6 months before the general public starts bitching.

Oh well, I've excepted it...now I'm waiting for the "hope" and "change" to start.
