It's almost as scary as Bush being such a devout Christian, yet waging illegal wars and wiping his ass with our constitution

scarier then believing osama bin laden is a model citizen who wouldnt dare tell a lie?

you can hate bush all you want, and ill continue to hate osama. fair enough

Dude, I hate Osama as well. I'd like to see the man very much dead. I do think it is very scary that some of the crazy things that George has done because "God told him to". Osama claims to be a devout Muslim, yet does all of this horrible shit in the name of his God. On the other hand, we have George claiming to be a re-born Christian, yet going against the very basics of the teachings of the bible.

that could be the most piss poor wording of a survery i've seen. For instance, if you believe the gov't hasn't said enough about that day you're obligated to choose yes about the conspiracy portion.
I agree! First, it fails to specify which conspiracies we're talking about. Second, as you pointed out, if you think the government hasn't been totally forthcoming you have to say you believe in the non-specified conspiracies. And if you don't believe in them, you're forced to say that conspiracy theories are disrespectful. A bullshit poll if ever I saw one.

it does specify, it says ANY of the conspiracies suggesting the us government was somehow involved...kinda like those polls about kennedy, they don't ask if you think the fbi did it, the mob, the cubans, the cia....altho i do agree about the disrespectful one and thought it woul dbe better if it were broken down to they haven't said enough or actual involvement instead of us involvement or not. but i don't think just b/c you think they haven't said enough means you believe in a conspiracy. the original question is pretty straight forward do YOU believe ANY of the conspiracies involving the US government being involved? while the little sub answers after the initial yes or no are weird in places it does seem like a straight forward question.

if they wanted to truly know, unbiased, if people believed in conspiracy theories they should have left it yes or no and not put the qulaifiers in it. Then you get a true response from people if they believe them...when you qualify it with the gov't is withholding info or they are disrespectful you are questioning emotion and you're contaminating the question.

  • What scares the hell out of me is the fact that so many believe that our government would actually be involved in an atrocity such as 9/11...If you feel the government would try to pull this off for what ever sick reason you can make up, how do you leaave the house everyday...or maybe you dont...maybe you just stay huddled up in a corner with the beleif that everyone is out to get you....I dont know, but the conspiracy nuts are exactly that...FUCKING NUTS.....PERIOD...NOW GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY COUNTRY!

you can't say shit like that.

it is not reasoned debate and discussion.

you always mention the PNAC. they are a controversial group promoting america dominance. what proof do you have they were involved in 9/11. other then you dont like the group. that doesnt count

Please debate why you disagree with the conspiracies and not the people who may believe them. It's very disrespectful and take takes zero intellect to simply call names.

and I see your point to "all of them lying". I, by no means, trust everything the main stream media says. I do trust them however over some wacky website made from one person and a few sources. i.e 911research .net. I have more trust in the media and the government then most people do. doesnt mean I wont question them however

Dude, you posted a link from an extremely biased right-wing site. And you say that you don't trust everything the main stream media says? But you believe "Free Republic?" Try thinking for yourself, here.

It's clear to see that if you look around the freerepublic web page, you can see what side they are on. I'm sure they are just "some wacky website made from one person and a few sources".

    In your own words:
"I do trust them (jlew24asu source) however over some wacky website made from one person and a few sources. i.e 911research .net."

    In Free Republics own words:
"Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America. And we always have fun doing it. every major network, newspaper, radio station, and website, left and right, reported the story of the laughing mohammad atta tape. excuse me for using a "right wing" website.

That goes both ways. Mainstream is for entertainment, basically. The independent sites will always have their slants. It doesn't mean everything posted on them should be dismissed simply because of the site? Info should have merit based on truthfulness. It's quite lazy to dismiss something without even reading it or looking into it further.

I think he was getting at is that, in the past you have been known to downplay news from other websites, and then you post news from a website like that.

    Just looks kind of hypocritical...
