dunk... a government is made up of people is it not? In ANY group of people there will be those who are dishonest and those who are cheats. I don't want THOSE people having access to my information... and once you hand it over, you really have no idea who the fuck HAS access to it and what they could do. Don't forget identity theft is also a big one these days.

different rule... although Amy Winehouse was banned, wasn't she? Snoop dogg is banned from the UK I believe. Have a look at the US immigration site... that's where I got my information from... NOT thin air

. Of course there will always be exceptions to the rule... even strong rules like this, there are minimal exceptions. But I don't think the average person can expect the same treatment as Paul McCartney in todays celeb worshipping world, do you?

i have a criminal record... i can get in.

my father in law's friend is currently in Colorado... he has one...

as i said about 20 posts back... it is possible but they need to know the level of that convinction... hence the background checking....

oh, Donald, who you met in London.. he has one for throwing a bottle away in the street... he's been 3 times and was married in Vegas.

if somebody already has any conviction they won't be allowed in anyway... the only people allowed in are those with NO criminal records... so I don't see how that's relevant?

The traveler will also be required to answer VWP eligibility questions regarding communicable diseases, arrests and convictions for certain crimes, and past history of visa revocation or deportation, among others.

all i'm saying is that you make blanket statements about things without backing them up... you say about the debit card. not true.. then you say about anyone who has a criminal conviction cannot get into america... not true..

i have a legally spent criminal conviction... (but i still have to declare it when entering the US/NZ/AUS) it was from a long time ago!!

i didnt go to jail or anything... was fined.. 13 years ago i think it was.

So I was wrong about the debit card... do you have to bring it up in every thread since? Reminds me of a certain banned poster. You've been wrong about a lot and I've let it go... get over it. Thread integrity. I'm not entirely wrong... it says it on the site... I know people with non violent convictions who have been refused entry. I don't know anyone with a conviction who has got in.

If the way they process mailed-in visa waiver forms is anything to go by, storing details is all they'll do- they'd prolly take 15 years to retrieve the info if some guy on their records commits an international crime.

I've mailed in my VWP entry/exit form in April after I accidentally took it away instead of just leaving it behind at the Canadian border. Still no reply, so I have no idea if I'm eligible for reentry under the VWP. Fuckers.
