he's a vicar with over 55,000 pics of children. now obviously he is a sexual deviant of the worst kind... but he also believes in god... am i right in saying that he goes to heaven under the whole belief in god loophole that most death-row prisoners try?
do i believe that love is big enough to forgive even the most heinious crime... including unbelief in God? yes, i do.
point is... what's it to anyone about what happens in someone else's afterlife? the important thing is the dude is paying for his crimes... it's what believers and unbelievers can agree on.
my bet is his convictions in God weren't very "strong", if you will... and i'm also guessing he's not "right with God" and he's most likely not going to heaven. if he is going to heaven than that would mean that he's done away with all of his perversions... as in 100% complete and clean.... without "blemish"... that requires a strong amount of faith, which most people now these days, even christians do not have, as obviously this dude didn't have any.
there's that scripture that says, "blessed is the man who walks not in the counsil of the ungodly nor stands in the way of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law does he meditate day and night."
i highly and even most highly than the pope himself, believe that this dude didn't meditate in the law of the Lord regularly. This isn't the land of opportunity, it's the land of competition.0 -

We shouldn't blame or credit God for that. It is chance... probability and outcome. If you place yourself in potentially dangerous situations, there is a greater probability that you will experience danger.
Con men getting away with stuff has nothing to do with God. They are simply men who can recognize human weaknesses and pery on them and have no remorse.. for whatever reasons.
...
We just WANT God to exist so they don't get away with it. We want God to exist so O.J. doesn't get away with it.
Truth is... there's a chance that O.J. will get away with it. And it is beyond our control. This isn't the land of opportunity, it's the land of competition.0 -

I guess if you all want to harbor resentment against the guy for eternity, that's your prerogative.
And yes - I believe the answer is that if the person repents of their sins, God forgives them. It's not up to you and I to determine that.
So everything is forgivable, except not believing?
Or is it, everything is forgivable is you repent your sins?
Is not believing a sin?
This should be good.0 -

You say that as if it is fact.
Have you spoken to Satan, lately? Did he tell you he believes in Jesus and God?
Has God materialized in your bedroom and sat down for a little chit-chat with you, lately?
Please do tell.0 -

If you believe Jesus would send all muslims to hell for not worshiping him.. then Jesus is a fucking ass hole.
People don't condemn people to an eternity of suffering. The only people we should try to get even with...

I believe everything is forgivable except not believing.
But you didn't answer my question: Why not forgive? Is it better to forgive or to harbor resentment and feelings of revenge? The only people we should try to get even with...

sounds like a total egomaniac then...
man: but i saved 14 puppies from a fire, donated all my body parts to help cure cancer, received 11 nobel peace prizes, gave away all my clothes to homeless people, taught all of africa what a fucking condom is!!! so can i get in?
god: no...
man: why not???
god. you didnt believe in ME!!!! oh hi Adolf... 3rd door on the right... see you at the barbecue later.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

An egomaniac to me is somebody who thinks that God is explainable (maybe even controllable) by our own human knowledge, logic and reasoning.
In other words, someone who thinks that the creator of everything should be able to be totally understood or must be a farce. The only people we should try to get even with...

how come every debate about is someone saved always turns to Adolf, and his seemingly perfect lock on being in heaven?? It seems the only person who anyone really believes is in heaven is Hitler. Nevermind the verse in Matthew that says there will be many who say they know God, but really don't.make sure the fortune that you seek...is the fortune that you need0 -

egomaniac: A person obsessed with their own (supposed) importance.
so saying you must believe in me.. kinda fits the criteria.
what you described didnt.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

its for comic value as i couldnt think of another genocidal maniac whose first name is instantly recognised.... i mean i could have put some hillybilly who shot a black man in the name of the Klan but it doesnt have the same clout.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

Oh, I believe it's always better to forgive. Harboring resentment and animosity just festers more hate and tears one apart. Your're not being true to yourself and allowing yourself to be the best you can be, if you're harboring hate and resentment.
So YOU believe everything is forgivable except not believing. So you think that's the way God operates, right?0 -

surely he's just building up resentment and hatred for not just one person... but many millions...oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

No - what I'm saying is you think your own personal knowledge, experience, reasoning, etc., is so advanced that you think you can explain away God based on what you know. In other words, you're equating or putting yourself above God.
That fits the definition of an egomania precisely. The only people we should try to get even with...
